I just got a call asking for someone named Turk Gibson...I told them they had a wrong number.  They then asked me if I was...and yes, it was my real name.   I asked what the nature of the call was and they said their company CRS was a legal services company and that this "Turk" had left my name and number as contact information

the number they called is a tmobile acct in my name for my daughter.

fake collections agency going under the name of cra. hung up on me twice when i asked for their address and mentioned contacting an attorney.  they had the last four of my social and an old work company's name that was incorrect. who do we report them to? i am researching and will report them asap. scammers!

got a call from a guy who called from this number asking to speak to me on my cell and wanted to verify my date of birth i wouldnt cooperate he got irrate and annoyed and said he was reporting me to the irs- for what i have no idea. don't answer this number! but haven't a clue who this was.

Got a call from Vonage Holdings, 570-561-0877. A Lisa Campbell left her name and number only. When I called back w/ a blocked ID they don't accept calls w/ blocked ID's so I called the 877# left and blocked the ID. A guy answered as CRA (name of company). Said it was a privacy issue to only speak to the person they were trying to reach. Said I was that persons mother. He refused to tell me what type of business it was and what they do (ie. collections, repos, prize money, etc). Not sure what's going on here. Don't trust people that aren't willing to disclose the nature of the call (trying to collect a debt, etc) or the company and what they do. This guy acted like it was top secret mission. You can tell people what your company does with out sharing personal information, which he kept asking me if I were aware of privacy laws. Yes I am. I work in that line of business daily.
