I wish people would keep their political views off of this forum. This forum is about telemarketing not politics.

I've been getting these calls and other calls from other right-wing political groups, apparently because in the last primary election I voted in the Republican primary. In my home state, independents don't have to choose which primary to vote in until election day, and I usually pick the one with the more interesting contests. A similar thing happened when I voted in the Democratic primary the previous year.

Got a call from Anthony Williams, said he was from the Consumer Protection Bureau in Richmond, VA because I had won a second place prize of 2.5 million dollars.  His extension is 5001.  I did not return the call.  It's a scam.

No idea who they are, just comes up "VIRGINIA" on the caller ID, I dont answer calls like that...

My uber-liberal wife picked up the phone and was treated to a message from the Tea Party.  She was neither shocked nor annoyed.  She mostly laughed and put it on speaker for me to hear.  We had fun listening to the recording of a middle-aged male ranting about Obama's policies and the threat to our civil liberties. He punctuated his words with phrases something like this: STOP the PRESident from MAKing these POOR DECisions and lets TAKE AMERica BACK!!!   Stuff like that to whoop up the masses into action.

As liberal democrats, we too have become disappointed with the direction the president is taking. However, receiving a call from the tea party is too much, too soon.  If you want to win over a hard-core blue county like this, the tea party is the wrong approach.  You will need a soft-spoken centrist at first to gradually ease us in.  Think you're wasting your time otherwise.

My voice mail automatically cuts off the first few words of robocalls but the gist of today's call had to do with a Marco Rubio amendment on gun background checks that needs to pass to stop the Obama Liberals from passing laws that require background checks and sets up a national gun registry so law enforcement has the possibility of stopping illegal gun purchases.

Living near enough to Baltimore to get the daily gun wars & shootings, this last weekend along with this week has racked out more than 2 dozen shooting victims and about 10 dead.  I don't own a gun, don't feel like I need a gun but I don't mind that the Constitution allows it as a right to bear arms, however, I'm to the point that we let them have their guns but no ammunition to go with it and that we outlaw it.  

Put it right up there with drugs as illegal substances and get the FTC and FDA and ??? to demand labels on both guns & ammunition that this may be hazardous to your health and people you care about.  

Start the Safety Campaigns nationwide about the dangers of guns and create some kind of lock & key system that prohibits use of weapon while intoxicated and drugged up.  Granted it's based on the failed attempts of keeping drunk drivers from starting their cars with the device in place but it's yet another dumb thought to slow folks down from random gun play.

They lost my support because of repeated calls to my cell. Makes me think Barrack is the man!!! Go Dems!!!!

If these idiot Tea Party members would just do their job this country would be just fine. This is the most UnAmerican group of people in these United States. The greatness of this country is, unfortunately, what allows them to keep stirring up effluvia!

I started laughing when I heard the plea for funds for the tea party. The recording stopped & a recording said my number would be removed from their system. Just from laughing. I hit no buttons.

Tea party called and all the caller ID says is the number Na Virginia.

Leesburg VA. Left no message. Second time number has called my house. Not interested.

Apparently a political fund raiser.  CID said Leesburg, VA.  Since I don't know anyone in Leesburg, VA, I picked up and immediately hung up.  End of story.  God bless Caller ID! :)

Apparently, not enough Alaska residents want to contribute, so they are calling people in all 50 states?
Just a hunch.
