This number calls everyday and now Imgetting threatening messages that I will be arrested for IRS tax fraud. In calling back the call does not go through.

I kept calling him back, like he did me, the Indian answered and I cussed him out!  I was told the same thing, in a voicemail, that they have been trying to get ahold of me for months, that they are the IRS and that they are issuing a warrant today. It's a lie, and a joke! The Indian guy clearly has no life, then to call numerous people and scare the crap out of them. I called the IRS! They are scammers.

This is a scam. They claim they are from the IRS and have called every single person in my family. They say that we are accused of fraud and they are going to take legal action. I told the guy that he needs to perfect his technique if he is going to accuse people of fraud and not to call everyone in the family and accuse them of fraud, it just gets less believable. Then then told me I was going to get arrested and I replied with "Get me after I go shopping, I need to buy some new clothes". Then then hung up. Stupid people, I am really sick of them calling all the time.

This is totally a scam. I have been receiving a call almost everyday from various telephone numbers and states and saying same thing. do not get scared. They want money from you. just ignore it. First time I received was almost 2 yrs ago and it really scared me and I called REAL IRS AGENT and they told me it was SCAM.

This number keep calling me, and he said I involved in the money transfer in and out of state illegal. .He said he from irs and when I search the number from irs this number is not on the list of the real irs one..This # keep calling me and bother  me..I wanted to report this to police right now.

Yup, like VL I got the very same message.  The fact that they don't address us means they don't know who we are.
I went to the IRS site (per Slim) and called the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1-800-366-4484 and played the message.  

Hopefully they can shut this jerk down

I received the exact same message from the same guy/same name.  Scared the crap out of me.  I believed it.

Received a call from this number today (5-15-14) saying they were with the IRS and were going to
take legal action and I'd better contact my attorney.  I'm reporting this, but is everyone else who has
received this call just ignoring it like I plan to do? One never knows now a days because of all the
scandals in Washington, DC and especially with the IRS....maybe it was Lois Lerner calling?????

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.

They left me a voice mail saying I was wanted for tax fraud, they'd been trying to reach me for months, they were issuing a warrant against me, etc.

Same here. I received a call from a man claiming to be Officer Kevin Peterson with the Internal Revenue Service.  He stated I was a primary suspect regarding an outstanding liability.  He also stated the IRS was in process of pursuing legal action by means of warrant for my arrest.  He stated he needed to speak with my attorney or me.  He stated that I should not disregard this call.  I blocked my number and called the number this call came from.  I received a message that "the call can not be completed as dialed."  This is the second call I have received in a similar manner from the "IRS" - the last call was in March and the call was made from 202-751-2536 - when I call that number back, it had been disconnected.

Same thing here.... said they were the IRS and I was going to be arrested and sued. Also told me a warrant was going to be issued.

Just received a call from this number, said he was with the IRS and wanted my lawyer to call, they were going to take legal action. Man sounded Eastern Indian. I believe it's a scam

Got a call from this number they said they were from the I R S they were going to proceed with legal action and send out a warrent guy sounded like indie accent

Got a  call  from this  number.  No  real  identification  that I  could discern in  the  message.  But  said  they  are  taking  legal  action  with  the IRS for  an outstanding  tax  liability. I  believe it  to  be a  scam.  Man  sounded  East Indian.  I am not  calling  back.

Got a call saying they were gonna proceed legally?? Not sure if it's real or what he sounded Chinese tried to call back no ring tone. Must be fake
