Very rude man called and would not tell me what he wanted. Just asked for a person who did
not live at my number, then he began yelling at me and hung up.

FTC/DNC Legal calling hours is 8am - 9pm your local time. 1st party charity or non-profit is exempt from DNC. 3rd party is not. Both must cease when you tell them to stop calling. They may resume after 90 days.

I get this call and it is before 8:30 in the morning! I also have put my number on the DO NOT CALL list but i still get a LOT of calls! I see why a lot of people stopped using landline phones! I hace caller ID and do not answer BUT it is still very annoying! They are not going to get money from me anyway! Mine says Local Call Area and the number is not local. How can anyone stop these calls?

They call and ask for someone by name, when you ask who it is or what the call is about they say they are calling to speak with "both of you" I just mess around with them and they move on to another call. I asked the guy who "both of you" is because I never identify myself or confirm their request.
If you turn the tables on them they run away because they know they aren't going to ruffle your feathers and get any money out of you.

My CID said "Local Call Area.'' Now that I see they are using different names on CID, I will block them. (This is proof enough to me that this is a scam, and a SPOOFED number). And no, it's NOT in my local area, it's long distance! NOR do I believe FOP solicits money over the phone, from people they don't even know. IF I decided to help the police, I would support my LOCAL organization. But, as stated above, I believe this is a SCAM!

I have requested to be taken off the list. One time the caller ID will say Unknown and the next time it's 540-366-9501. Still calling the house. Very, very frustrated.

There is no reason for a solicitor to call my home prior to 8:30 a.m. This is an annoyance and invasion of privacy!! Stop it!! The Fraternal Order of Police organization is bogus and wants to take your money.
