Call even though it says 571 area code is from
Associated Community Services  a MEMBER  of the American Telemarketing Services organization.  They say they are soliciting on BEHALF of another  Client.  
This is a  FOR PROFIT TELEMARKETING COMPANY!

IT is NOT a CHARITY..  end of story they are based in Michigan..not Virginia..

Told the woman I was a Law Enforcement Professional and my line is TAPED Please don't call me Again.

Same as everyone else. Call at 8:30 in the morning. Starts outs out asking for me by name. "You are sure hard to get a hold of". (That's because I usually hit answer and disconnect immediately). Started her spiel. Tried to tell her I was not interested. Kept going. Finally I YELLED shut up, twice before she broke it off. I told her I do not respond to phone solicitations. She said she would take me off the list. We'll see.

Got a call this morning from this number. They asked for one of the members of the household and when I told the lady that that specific member was not here, she said "Well, okay. There's no message, thank you for your time"

I have had calls several times from this number asking for my husband who passed away in December yesterday morning  at 8:25 A. M.  I told them he had passed away and not to call here anymore but they don't stop

Caller identified herself as Pamela from  "AC Services" then pitched for
donations to some childrens foundation.  An 8AM is a bit early I think...

Block the number with call blocker.  You won't hear from them again.

Same thing - I never pick up these calls.  You KNOW they are scams.  I hope no one would give them a dime.  I can only block 10 numbers and my account with phone company is filled up with this crap!  So sick of it!

They keep calling and I do to answer.  They never leave a message.

This is a professional organization, who gets a large percentage of whatever they collect for the charity organization.  The charity gets very little monies from this type of solicitation

I got the call at 8am this morning,,,,,,,,,,,,,i ask the lady how she got my name and number.......she told me she was in training but I could talk to her supervisor.  When I ask him the same question his answer was " all the people that knew that were in a meeting".............what a joke...................I hope they all end up in HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the call at 8am this morning........I ask the young lady who gave her my number, she said she was in training and did not know but I could talk to her supervisor........when he came on I ask him where he got my number.....his answer was "all the people that knew that were I a meeting this morning"..................what a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I hope they all go to HELL for what they are doing!  the phone number was 571 642 1304.

We received a call this morning, February 17, 2014 (President's Day Holiday) shortly after 8:00 this morning.  We were sleeping "in" which is a rare treat. The telephone woke us up.  We did not answer the phone and will not be after reading the posts at this website.  I give generously to several charities via automatic payroll deduction at my place of business.  One of the charities that I give to is the American Cancer Society.    I am also on the Do Not Call List and my number is unlisted/unpublished.  Thank you all for posting.  

Received call this morning at 0841 local.  The good news, such as it is, is that NOMOROBO intercepted the call and we only had one ring on the phone.  The bad news is these folks are still in operation.  

Rec'd call 2:49pm EST. Didn't answer no msg. left.

calls from this CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE posing as a bonifide charity (see 5 apr 2013 entry on this site from the real charity).  Submit complaints to FTC and state attorney general asking they prosecute these criminals.

Computer generated call and voice from Children's Can Center.  BBB says beware. On call you get a voice mail and asked to leave a message.

Once I had her on the phone I made my dog bark and growl in their ear.  I enjoyed it and my dog did too.  My dog refused to give them her credit card information.  LOL

Be aware  "Childrens Cancer Fund" was recently identified as one of the top 10 WORST charities in America by the Tampa Bay Times. This was based on how much they spend on telemarketing and how little they give to actual children in need. Do your research - there are thousands of great organizations out there and this is NOT one of them.

Mention the Tampa Bay article and they hung up on me quickly.

This time, it say on Spokeo that it is based in Herndon, VA.  It's a scammer, and I hope they go to hedoubletoothpicks.

Called on September 28, 2013 @3pm, I didn't answer and they did not leave a message. Thanks for the posts letting me and others know this is a scam. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry.

That was no lady - you were talking to a computer

This is no lady calling - it is a deceitful computer voice program.

Call type is Scammer.

Called at 8:19 AM this morning and woke me up.  One more call from them and they get added to my blocked number list on my DIGITONE call blocker!

Don't have time for telemarketers!
