Just received a call from this number. "Kevin Peterson" had a German accent & said I was a primary witness in a tax liability case with the IRS. I looked up the number because it sounded sketchy (there were no specific details related directly to me) on finding this thread I am going to ignore & assume it's a scam. Thanks everyone.

Yes, I too got a call from an older gentleman telling me he was with the IRS and that I needed to call him back immediately and that I had a tax liability that needed to be taken care of right a way. I did not call him back as I assumed it was some type of scam or crank call. I also knew that the IRS did not make phone calls like that. Someone needs to find out who this company is and take legal action against them ASAP!

Just got a call at the office - it was a recording saying our firm has warrants out for severed delinquency and to call the number back...we called back a few times and it either just rings or we get a busy signal. After reading this, I'm not going to worry about it.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.

I just returned a call from this number and spoke with a rude person claimed that I was being prosecuted by the IRS for "Misrepresenting Information" and that I could NOT hang up the phone until I paid a bond so that they didn't file charges. He also said that I had to go to the IRS office and pay my fine, BUT he wouldn't give me the address or any other information unless I paid the bond. Eventually, after I realized this was a scam, I hung up. . . .Irritated.

Recording call came and said " This call from IRS your Tax due ????. Call this number 571-932-2009.
I called that #. I ask them R U with IRS, He did not reply & ask them send paper work 1st then my Attorney will call & He hang-up phone!
