Called trying to collect a wrongful debt for Hollywood Video from several years ago before Hollywood Video closed.
The debt is NOT LEGITIMATE, as I have already made complaint to the Attorney General in Missouri: Was told by an employee shortly after my location closed, employees from the outside company brought in to close up the stores were stealing movies that had been returned at the stores and thrown into bins to be "processed". Thus, it appeared that people never returned their rentals, when they had.
Scam all the way around.

Called Sunday afternoon. They did not leave a message. It came from Beaufort, Mo. I do not know anyone from that area.

Calls me every evening at the same time with political survey questions. Is an automated call and can not be cut off. This should be against the law to not allow you to opt out of the call and keep your line busy until they finish their survey. What if there was a family emergency and you needed the phone line?

Called on 8/1/2011 at 10:25 a.m. claiming he was from a legal process server center and was given my number as a contact for a woman named Ellen (HELEN?) Alcorn. I hung up and he had the nerve to call back and say "I belive you hung up on me". Asked my name and I refused, instead asking his to which he replied Dean Matthews, which is most likely fake. Hung up on him again. Was probably going to try to get my Social Security number to "clear me".

I didn't answer. They left voice mail. It is as "Annoyed" said, and gave a website that could be used in lieu of pressing "1".
I think this was probably a legitimate political call, not violating the DNC rules.

Called my home, asking how likely I am to vote in the coming election. It was a DNC computer generated call.

Another site claims this to be a political call from the party on the left. Automated.

Call infrequently.

Called at least 4 times on Saturday, maybe once on Sunday. All I could figure out was that the caller was calling from a landline in Beaufort, MO.
