It's a collections call people.  Most of these are.  Pay your bills.

If it was a collections call, wouldn't the caller want to try to actually collect?

I'm in OH. I just got a call this morning too.

The 'caller' left a voice mail about being able to cut down on my credit card bills since I was paying the minimum on my cards. The card company was never revealed..

I never pay the minimum.....The call was from missouri. another cold call from a card company.
The call was a recorded call but meant to sound like a live call.

Called and hung-up after 15 seconds.

Same lol. I'm 16, I don't have a credit card!! He said that this was going to be the last courtesy call.

We also got a call from 573 763 5937. It sounded like someone had started to say something and then the call was diconnected. When we called back the number a recording stated that "The Number Was No Longer In Service".

I got the exact same thing! I'm glad I looked up the number online because I almost called!

Called the toll free no. and found out that this is a debt resolution business. I never signed up for them. Told them that I was on a do not call list and if they called again, they would be reported to the state attorney general's office.

I got a call from 573-763-5937 at 10:06 am. I didn't answer because I was still in bed no message but I thought it was weird so I googled the number and found this site.

Googling this number also comes up with a Craigslist ad for a car where they claim it was their grandmothers, then later says no email, it's a friends car... Absolutely a scammer trying to harvest valid phone numbers. No not answer these calls, do not respond to messages.

This guy called me twice, once i picked up and he hung up without saying a word. I didn't pick up the second time and he left a blank voicemail

received call today on my cell phone from #(573) 763-5937. After I said "hello", he said "Hello in a weird way, made a disgruntled  noise(like he was saying "DAMN". Then hung up.  I called # back immediately, but recorded operator message said the # was "disconnected or no longer in service".

Just got call on my Google Voice number.  Now how in the h3ll did he get that?  All he said was my name on the voice message.  Seems flaky to me!!

Received the same call as everyone else and looked up the owner of the phone number.

Just called the number back 573-763-5937 disconnected.  Called the 888 number and a woman came on the phone and said they were a debt relief company.  I told her to not call my number again.

same, 3:47pm eastern time, "Hello" and hung up.

Left a halfway cut-off message with another number to call.  Sounds like a scam.

I just got one too, called said hello, and hung up. Odd.

I recieved a call less than a minute ago. Who is it?  He said hello, than I said hello, than no response. When I called back, "this no. has been temporarily disconnected...." I hate phone calls like that. If it keeps up, I am changing my no.

I got call from the same number, asking me to if I would accept a call or a voice-mail from them.  I hung up immediately and within a few seconds, I got a TEXT from them!!!  WE ALL need to keep in mind that the only thing people need to hack (even install software on) your phone is a connection.
Better safe than hacked.  Just a thought.

Called my cell phone in class. Left a recorded message from a man calling himself "Brian Stevens". As others have stated, he said I was making the minimum payments on my credit card (which has been paid off since forever) and that he had a plan to lower my interest rate to 1/5% (Ha!). Also it was the last courtesy call he'd make and that I could reach him at 1-888-442-0881.

I called the police to report the phone number and the lady at the front desk told me to ignore the call because I couldn't complain until money or information had been taken from me illegaly. Thanks, Columbia PD.

Can they use our info for identity theft, etc?  Or just to confirm our numbers for more SPAM.  Mine too is a cell phone.  Who can we report this too?
