It is RBC and they have been calling for two weeks twice a day and it's super annoying. I just added them as a contact and blocked them. All is well now.
Kelsey 2014-05-09 21:02:12 Unknown
You all owe money, myself included. Want the calls to stop? Pay your bills or explain to them why you cannot make payments at this time. Ignoring them will make it worse. They WILL take this isn't consideration.

Over and over they call wanting me to sign up for free month of this or that and I say not interested. Today a number was not provided on the call display, I said I wasn't interested but he persisted I finally said I got to go bye. They then call back with a displayed number I let answering machine pick up No message is left. This is harassment was he going to call scold me for hanging up anyways this is bloody ridiculous I feel like changing banks!

You guys are lucky! They call me about FIVE f*****g times a day, with THREE different numbers. I will try answering next time and tell them to remove my name from the list! Thanks to all you guys

Annoying calls from RBC (Royal Bank of Canada). Sometime just dead air, other times cheerful empty people trying to sell more services (life insurance to credit card "protection"). Asked them numerous times to not call me and every time they say will put me on their "do not call list". Nope. Only last a few weeks then the calls and dead air starts again. At least it is call displayed with "RBC" so I just ignore it.
K 2014-02-22 00:53:19 Unknown
Yes it is indeed RBC, they called me numerous times throughout the day until I finally answered where they asked if I wanted a credit limit increase.
Bingo 2014-02-02 19:47:51 Telemarketer
RBC, I checked my voip stats, they called 56 times last year. I guess they don't take "I ignore you" as an answer. Good thing they're blocked and it won't even ring.
TurboRiceCooker 2013-12-18 18:53:18 Unknown
Been getting these calls for a while now.
It's a scam. Just block it.
Honestly, I think it's CIBC/TD/BMO paying a call center to p****off RBC customers. Great idea actually, to get customers to switch.
Elaine 2013-12-03 20:01:08 Unknown
Thanks for posting this information. I get the call at least twice per day, and always hang up on it.

This stupid number calls my Toronto landline 2-3 times every day! I'm sick of it and trying to find a way to block it.
Bubble 2013-10-29 00:26:48 Unknown
Asked to be removed from calling list but they're calling me again. Been calling me daily since september everyday around 1-7pm.
Used a call blocking app to block their number.

Constant pest...calls 3 times a day every day. I don't do any business with them and now I sure won't do any. I'll make sure to spread the word about their telephone harassment techniques. Next step to report them if they don't stop!!!

I've been getting calls from this number for months. They call at the worst possible times like during dinner. I don't pick up and they don't leave a message. I have multiple RBC accounts and I'm thinking of closing them just because of this.
Annoyed 2013-08-31 17:22:22 Unknown
They have been calling me for over 2 months now; up to 6 calls a day.
me 2013-08-30 16:12:30 Unknown
NOPE!!!! Actually told them to take my name off list and was not happy with telemarketing calls from a bank I only have an RSP with and no accounts. They said sorry and the call volume has increased 3 times. I get 3-5 calls daily now. The purpose of private cell phone nubers was so it was private and unavailable to telemarketers,. You give this number to a bank and think they wont give it out or sell it to call lists, but then the go and set up telemarketing themselves. I guess the billions in profit banks make a year isn't enough. Yes I will be changing to credit union as well with business and personal banking.

I am having the same thing - RBC calling many times a day and never leaving a message. I don't have an account with them so they aren't calling to check in with me! So annoying.
FNG 2013-08-29 02:29:12 Unknown
This caller never leave any message and call regularly. How can I stop such calls.
AJ 2013-08-28 01:53:17 Unknown
They will call from this number and never leave a message. They've called anywhere from 7 am to 10 pm. I refuse to answer, but reading some of these posts - I may answer just to give them an earful

Yes! I have the same problem over a month and the caller ID says RBC. Somebody always calls from this number (1-800-769-2510) at least once or sometimes twice day. Due to my work schedule it is always bad time to answer....I was in the middle of getting ready for catching the bus to go to work...and phone rings and I am wondering if it was any emergency and I take off my shoes and go back to the living room and somebody hung on me after many times' ringing without leaving any message in fact, the answering machine was on. I do not have any account with RBC; only my daughter used to have their accounts with them before. With curiosity, finally I called back the number today ( Aug.27,2013)and was able to talk to the agent; he was very nice and apologized to me several times. I asked him if he could remove my number from their list but he said he could change the preference on my account. I told him that I do not have any account with RBC and also asked him if there's any department that I can talk to...He said that I can do that online.I was trying to RBC website but I found this board first and I am not alone. I understand they have to do their business and everything is competition in the market; however, they should choose more advanced marketing system instead of annoying people. That's the company image. I would choose another bank who doesn't annoy me...we are all busy and I don't want to be annoyed... I will visit RBC website and make a suggestion including this board as well.

please don't call this phone again, I CALL BACK AND WHEN I ASK TO BE REMOVE FROM CALL LIST, THEY NEED ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THEN TO REMOVE IT, SOUND'S LIKE A FRAUD, THEN, I HANG UP
Laurent 2013-08-22 12:47:13 Unknown
Same things as Brain. Very very annoying!
matheson 2013-08-14 23:39:11 Unknown
i got a call annoying from RBC, and asked me to verify this and that, I asked her why calling me, she didn't explain then I hand up. phone number is 1-800-760-2510.
lolo 2013-08-13 03:52:30 Unknown
Confirmed RBC. As per previous post. Call and request removal from list.
Takes 24 hours.
NL 2013-08-12 21:43:11 Unknown
Just called RBC @ 1-800-769-2511 and asked to be removed. Guess we will wait and see what happens.
tito fuentes 2013-07-29 20:55:26 Unknown
I call them right after they call me and I make sure I have some loud porn playing in the background. I try to drag it on as long as I can or keep asking them to repeat what they just said, until they get frustrated and say something or ask me to lower the noise in the background. In which I reply "What noise? It sounds like you are getting f**ked in the a** over there. Does RBC always take advantage of you? Have you thought about working at another bank?" Then they come up with some nice response why they can't continue this conversation anymore.
lscott 2013-07-26 16:42:27 Unknown
I believe once you tell them to stop calling and they continue to its harassment and you can threaten to call the police on them.
Brains 2013-07-19 17:51:16 Unknown
the number shows as 11-800-769-2510 when they call my cellphone. I answered once, but I do not answer anymore and they leave no message. If you answer it is confirming it is an active number and they continue to call. It is becoming very annoying have them call 2 - 3 times a day.
Gary 2013-07-18 05:21:54 Unknown
Ailsa, it is the Royal Bank. I live in Alberta and went to my branch, where I got them to call 800-769-2510. It is the Royal Bank. I was told that even after the bank employee applied notes to my file, that I did not want to be contacted by RBC, I was told it would take 4 weeks to have my name removed.
I am thinking of CLOSING MY ACCOUNT with RBC if this continues. I think that more people should cease to do business with RBC if they (RBC) don't heed our complaints.

These guys phone everyday on weekdays (1 or 2 calls), it's getting annoying.
