That was what got me, he said since you're only making the minimum payments and I don't make minimum payments on anything.  I do sometimes call them back and have fun with them. Took 20 minutes last night and caught a guy off guard when I called back the 800 number left and told him to Google the number and see what comes up and he seemed genuinely surprised, not defensive or anything.  Probably some poor schmuck who doesn't know what he's involved in or a really good scam artist, enjoyed telling him what the interest was on my mortgage and that we're already on a 15-year loan and he said he didn't know why we even got a call.

Received a call from this number @ 10:41 AM Pacific, "Doug Adams" left a message in which he referenced a previous conversation about lowering my interest rates and stated that this was the last courtesy call and requested that I call him back (toll-free) at 1-888-442-0803. I have not spoken with anyone regarding my interest rates.

That is all.

Received call on my cell. Someone said hello and hung up. Just like the others.

Got the same phone call. Didnt answer since I was in a meeting. Got the voice mail and it was half way through it. I have no idea what it was talking about. Tried to call it back and it was disconnected. Isnt there something out there that makes this illegal?

Mr. Glad Hand calling. I got the same come-on message, probably from the same caller.

I also got this annoying call on my cell about 10 minutes ago!  The message was the same as those above...with a call back # of: 888-442-0803.  The guy is a liar and I'm quite sure that this is a scam of some sort! I will be blocking this number from any future calls!

Same details as described by so many others here already. I did not take the call as I didn't recognize the #. VM message does not refer to me by name and the caller's name is (perhaps intentionally) garbled so it would be impossible to call him back and ask for him by name.  My VM was quite obviously a standard script they use for everyone (claiming you have already spoken and he's been looking into something on your behalf and now has "a solution," claiming you only make minimum monthly credit card payments, suggesting you call him back at 888-442-0803and talk about his great lower interest rate plan, etc).  I recently changed my cell phone # and may have forgotten to register the new one with the DNC registry. Am going to make sure I've done that.

Just got a call from this number.  I answered a man said hello and several seconds later the call disconnected.

Got a call this morning from this phone number exactly like the ones detailed above.  He left a call back number, 888-442-0803.  The call was to my cell, which is annoying.

I got the EXACT same voicemail on my phone.

Rcvd call from this number..(at work) and when I answered he said hi & hung up...

I also got the same call on my cel - said hello and there was no answer

Just got a call on my cell I said Hello and I heard a man say HI! and then there was silence and then disconnected.

Same thing here, must be some scam scum testing the waters.

Got the same call from this number and guy hung up after saying hello.  Sounded like he heard me and then hung up.  From all your posts I'd say they are hoping for voicemail...

Just got a message on my cell phone. It's a recording of some dork saying that he can lower my credit card payments and this is the last courtesy call. I don't have any credit cards. Voicemail picked up halfway through.
Not going to waste my minutes on it calling it back. Their phone is probably on autodial anyway. The same that most telemarketing companies use so that they don't have to look up numbers. Just dials randomly created numbers. LAME....

Got a call from this number 1:26 pm 2/23/10. Looked it up and found your responses. They said hello and then that was all. Try to call back and it was answered by an operator who said the number was "disconnected".

I just recieved the exact same call on my work number...I suspect this is a total scam to get your credit card info.  I will not be calling this nubmer back either.

Didn't pick up, got a text message later from a strange local number saying I had a voicemail from that person and to call another number to hear it. Weird stuff.

i thought it may have been my phone reception but after reading the other reports on this number, they must have hung up

Got this call on my cell phone. As with others it was someone calling to lower my interest rates on my credit cards, supposedly responding to a message I left them. I left no such message, and of course, do not pay credit card interest anyway.
