FYI  The telemarketing "jackslaps" are actually allowed to call up until 9PM.  After that it's harrassment.  Make a note of the phone number and report it to the FCC IF...  1) you have actually SPOKEN to a person from this number, 2) ASKED to be removed and then 3) get more calls from the same number...  Those are the rules, gang.  Other than that, opt out from any business listing you may have from that company (if you do business or have any free listings using Google/Adwords/Adsense or any YellowPages service...  If you have allowed your personal phone number to be used, they CAN and they WILL call you because you already said it was ok from the Terms of Service (TOS) they proposed when you signed up with them.  Even going through the Do Not Call registry will NOT exempt you from these calls.  Sorry.

Just received 2 calls from this number. Missed the first, answered the second. Same EXACT spiel as someone quoted from John, earlier in this thread.

No matter what I said, he just kept reading his little speech. Even when I whistled into the phone and told him I'd just been reading about his scam company, and to take me off their call list.

I'm reporting the number to the DoNotCall Registry.

Many Calls to my number with no message. Seems that having a recorded outgoing message may

It's a telemarketer trying to sell you a seo plan. It's fake and they dont work for google! Theyre lying.

Got a call on my cell phone from this number it's a (574) area code for Indiana.  I live in CO.  They didn't leave a message. I called back and the recording said "Hello, if you'd like to be placed on out do not call list press 1."  Still have no idea who this number belongs to.

When I answered the phone they wouldn't say anything.  I waited a few seconds while saying "Hello," but they never said anything.

I got the same pitch.  When I asked him if he had done a search on the keywords for my business, he hung up (we're already the #1 link on Google, and on the first page of Yahoo - without ever hiring anyone to do SEO for us.

Every few months we get hit up by these guys.  We're on the do not call list, but they hit all of our numbers anyway.

Got the same message (again) this time from "Aaron".  I called back and offered to sell him a used treadmill.  He hung up.  I called back again, later in the day, and asked for Aaron.  They said he was not available.  I offered to sell "Eric" some gently used fedora hats.  He asked why I was calling.  I said Aaron called me to sell me something, I was just calling back to sell him something.  He hung up too.  I guess they don't like cold call solicitations.  Hmmm.  Ironic.  Neither do I.  I will be calling back later today and offering my half eaten bologna sandwhich and some homemade brownies for sale.  My mommy made the brownies, so you know they are good.  They are worth at least .50/each.  It is a great opportunity for Aaron/Eric to get true home baked treats.  I hope they don't miss this great opportunity that I have with homemade goodies.
