Just got the same exact letter. I wish I knew how to stop it. Have been dealing with other companies all week who claim the same thing only they are of American and African American decent. They freaked me out so bad I paid and made arraingments as I sat and thought about it I was like so STUPID that then I called bank got my money back and am dealing with all this. They say they will summuns me to court if I don't keep my arraingments. My coffe table is filled with bank statments, credit reports and phnoe #'s how do we stop this???

I refuse to pay these idiots or respond to their threats.  We (U.S. Citizens) have been threaten and our identity has been jeopardized by these outsiders (ARABS).  They use fictious names and are calling outside the U.S.  They have been calling me for over 2 years and even at my workplace.  I have made complaints with FTC, Attorney General's office, and local police.  PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR THREATS!!!!!  They should be prosecuted to the extent of the law and pay for their criminal activity. WEIRD "E"...I got the EXACT same letter, right down to the account number!  Obviously this is a scam. I feel better seeing that I am not the only one being harassed!

So you know, there IS an agency with the initials ACS that handles student loans - it is maintained through the government (I know this because I work at a university and frequently work with deferments).  

BUT - the ACS listed in these emails is NOT ASSOCIATED WITH STUDENT LOANS.  This is a scam, and has been reported several times...  not sure where to go from here, except to keep reporting to the local police (especially if they call you at home), and call the BBB.  Good luck, everybody.

This company is not involved in student loans.  The government has different means of getting you to pay your student loans and use proper English.  I have reported this company on several occasions to IC3, FBI, Attorney General and others with NO success.  It would appear, citizens are just to take it and say nothing about these tactics.  Speaking out does NOTHING!

Received an email from these people......stating I owe money......do not fall for this.

I received a letter identical to CB's letter except for the amount I presumably owe them. I was concerned at first until I did a little research and found out ACS is about student loans. I have never been involved in any way whatsoever with any student loan, either my own or my children's, so I clicked spam and I am done with it. It seems like there should be some way to stop this harassment but I don't know how. But if you are reading this, just know you are not alone.

This is a cell phone number through Sprint.

I recieved an e-mail that said to call this person. When I called they wanted to talk to my husband saying that he had a payday loan with advanced cash. We haven't had one with them for over 4 years. They wanted to talk with my husband they said he was in trouble for not paying his loan. They not only are calling but are now e-mailing us as well. Lets get thes guys stopped.

I find it hysterical that they would use the term "If you do not take immediate action:

They apparently arr not English speaking people and tif they were, I would
know from an intelligence stand point that terminology is not used like that
when a collector is attempting to collect a debt.
How silly

I just received an e-mail stating the whole "spiel" as above and lo and behold!   The amount I owe is $620.56..............amazing.   They also have called all morning at my work place..................  The person says his name is Peter Anderson, but can barely pronounce the name and very defintely has an East Indican accent.    They have been calling me for three years and nothing I have said to them, including that I would pay this if it is really my debt but first they would have to send me documentation with my signature on the note.   The answer from them is that they cannot send any documentation until I make arrangements to pay them in full by electronic check, or debit card, or credit card......I just wish there were some way of stopping the harrassment.

tired of getting nasty phone calls from this number.  How do people like this get away from harrassing individuals?  Is there any justice around?  can they be stopped?  I have filed complaints with the Attorney General of California, New York and Florida.  Nothing
