Just had a sticky note on my door.  "Sorry we missed you"  then printed below call for information about your TV service.
So checked the number on White Pages.  Its from a Time Warner Telephone!  Now I see it is a scamming note for Frontier.
Wonder if Time Warner knows their telephone service is being used to scam them!

Same called, hang up.   STOP!

Called by RSI and they hung up. On callback get a run around with a TelePrompTer. I'm on the do not call list and want these calls to stop.

These idiots are local.  Stop by and see them!  They are at 622 Stone Road, Rochester, NY 14616 or 5 Marway Circle, ROchester, NY 14624.  I'm going to stop by and bi*** slap the living piss out of them!!

I do not want any more calls from RSI !!!  They call & hang up - very, very annoying !!

This same number keeps calling, leaves no messages & just hangs up. Very annoying. Do not want to change anything we have with Frontier or Time Warner. Stop calling !!!

They call and never leave a message.  Also, they hang up before the answering machine answers.

Got a call last night from these people. Someone was on the line wanting me to switch phone services. He said he was with Frontier phone. When I said I was  already with Frontier and asked him why he did not already have my info he then changed his story. He then said he does work for Frontier. I again said if he does work for Frontier he should still have my info. Then he got very evasive with his answers.

Sounds like a CRAMMING OR SLAMMIING SCAM

11.    "Cramming": Keep an eye on your PHONE BILL
When monthly charges pop up on your telephone bill for optional services that you never authorized such as voice mail, paging, or club membership, it's called "cramming."

You may be asked to return a missed call because it?s 'Your lucky day' and you?ve won a trip to Las Vegas. When the call is made, an automated system is activated and you are unknowingly enrolled in a club or program, and the charge is placed on your phone bill.

The crammer might not even need to do anything except simply pick your phone number out of the blue and place charges on your bill through your local telephone company, claiming that you agreed to purchase some services.

Look at your bill closely every month. Charges for optional services should be itemized and show the name of the company providing them and its phone number. If you did not authorize the services, call that number and insist that they be canceled and the charges removed from your bill.

Also, consider putting a third party block on your phone service. It's often free and it does not let any third party add charges to your phone bill.


12.    "Slamming":

Slamming occurs when customers have their telephone service switched to a new carrier without their permission. You may receive a call from a telemarketer asking you to switch your long distance provider.

Although you say you are not interested in switching, your long distance provider is changed anyway.

It is a company named RSI who does contract, outside sales for Frontier Communications and other companies. The calls you are likely getting are from their training center, and are new reps who may not know how to reply properly to the questions asked.

Raw saw just called here.  They asked for the owner of the house.  I asked what it was regarding.  He said:  It's uhh......, and then hung up the phone.
