Asking for my Brother, and  personal information about phone,SS #,etc.Very dangerous because they have a lot personal information,with full names!!!!Just Watch Out please. Miami Florida

This number calls looking for a "Tom Johnson."  I don't even know a Tom Johnson.  I have tried telling them this is the "Smith" residence and no Tom Johnson resides here, but they won't take no for an answer and will not give an address so I can send a cease and desist letter to them.  I've decided to add them to my blocked list because after two weeks of this, I've had enough.  Names have been changed to protect my family's privacy.

Got a call from this # looking for a relative with same last name - johnson. Caller said my relative gave them my # as a point of contact....relative doesn't know this number. They were asking al these questions. I said I don't even know who you are. The gentleman said he was Kevin johnson..... I asked him do you know ________ Johnson? Are they related to you? They caller hung up on me! LOL LOL!

Male called 3/18/2013 at 7:06 PM; caller ID Genesee Valley 585-273-6402.  He asked for my name then asked about a "Robert Mohr" or "Robert Maury" or something.  I have no knowledge of this person and told him I do not know "Robert" and cannot help him.  He said there was something important regarding his "file"  - whatever that means.  I don't know this Robert person, so it changes nothing.

They called and left message looking for my ex-roommate (who has been gone for year and a half).

these people called my elderly dad looking for my brother who is not even his son.  would not tell my father anything. they don't even live in the same part of the country.  how in the heck did they get my dad's number.  my brother does not use it.  it is not his dad.

don't know company name because he would not give it.

Received a call from these people regarding dinner?????? Have no clue

Got a call from Brooke looking for someone that I played sport with 5 years ago. I asked why would you be calling me? She said "your number came up as a possible number of his" this is TOTAL BS ? There could never be any association between who they were looking for and myself... So I called back and someone answered the phone as "GBA" and after a little more discussions they informed me they were a debt collector - George Brown Associates when I asked how they got my number they said they didn't know it was just listed as a possible contact for that person. Which is TOTAL BS. They had 15 numbers for this person including mine so they have been busy data mining !!

Genesee Valley called an in-lawof mine 1/10/2013, who wondered why they asked for me (different last name)

A woman by the name Maria Boyd left a voice message on my phone last night, stating that it concerned a Jerry Wunderly (my ex-boyfriend from over 20 years ago), left me a number to call 1-877-563-1691 from Genesee Valley.
First the number she left me was too long - 218775631691, yes I listened twice and she had a #2 on the front, reference number #706595
So looked up the caller ID number on my phone (585) 273-6402 and seen all of these comments, so glad I didn't talk to them.

Called me at work and also called my brother.  Asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SSN then proceeded to tell me he was collecting a debt.  When I asked him to please make a note to not call me at work he got loud and said "no", I hung up.  How can I report this to the proper authorities?

They've called my parents, my former roommate, my previous employer...persistent little imps. I just wonder how they got all of those phone numbers.

This is a very dirty business akin to meter maids and nyc tow truck drivers.  No one in their right mind should do any business with them.  It is a parasitic industry.

One would think the state department could spell "investigate" correctly.

Company calls somehow got my number on a prepaid phone? Please stop calling

Mr. Cohen called my grandmother, who lives five states away, asking for me but listed my last name as Cooper, which is her maiden name- not my last name-.... She referred me his number; I called, he was extremely rude and inaccurate. I requested if he needed any more information, or had any further need of me that he only contact me directly. He continued to be rude and disgruntling, I don't know how he gets anyone to cooperate with him treating people so boorishly.

Received calls and messages...finally picked up the phone and they said they talked to my mother (I know they did not!!!) and were looking for someone I don't know, then they said they were looking for my cousin but only gave me his 1st name with the wrong last name! I wanted to get more information but they quickly hung-up.

My mother has received couple of calls from this number asking for someone name Mary Curry.
This person does not live her and has never been at this phone number. Please discontinue calling and upsetting my mom.

They are leaving me messages at all hours for someone else.  How can I stop this?  They won"t stop even though I told them they have the wrong person.

This company has called my daughter -in-law, son, father, brother, and nephews.  My family thinks I owe the 'mob' money.  Please get them to stop this harassment!

Receiving several calls yes I owe bills,but please I don,t like it when someone gives you so many bad things as to what will happen if you do not pay your bill that you shake and try to explain what has happened that you finally tell them you will need a lawyer I could hear him say why you filed bankru then I just hung the phone up with a sick feeling in my stomach.

Received a call and message from Matt Cohen from GVA asking me to call him back at  8775631691 and give him the reference1981026. He is calling for a Van Franklin whom I have never heard of. He stated that it was imperative that I return his call today. This is the first call that I have received from this company and don't know the person they are asking for. Will continue to document any and all calls or interactions and will report this if needed. Genessee Valley Associates from Rochester is the company.

A rep from this #, which I found out is operated under a company by the name of Genesee Valley: a cut-throat collection agency which, after performing a quick google search on the # (585) 273-6402, I learned is a notoriously scandalous debt "collector." after reading numerous first hand accounts of their unethical, if not questionable, tactics. It is my opinion that this company is a last ditch effort to collect a debt for a debtor who has been unsuccessful at collecting the debt through other, more traditional Collection agencies, and it shows that they're willing to do just about anything within power to get "their" money. Anyone feel like there's a grandiose sense of entitlement being proudly displayed here? One that only really acts to bolster an arrogance which is already one of the defining characteristics of the collections industry? Sleaze via slime balls!!

I receive at least one call a day from these people. Always during the day, on my answering machine

Just received a call from them. Just heard breathing on the other line, so i hung up.

Called to my job,  when I answer the phone at work, the gentleman was studdering and I verifed myself  3 times then he disconnected.  

I called back to confront and Talked with a Maria Boyd who threatened everything from Law Suits Etc.
I made her e-mail me  a copy of what she was requesting.  
I have had 30 phone calls today on my home phone number with scams.  They  are very demanding and high pressure and interupt when you try to speak. They wanted me to settle  an account  immediately.  I told them I would have to review  and Call back.  They got very nasty.  
I hung up on them.
