I got the same message. Calling the number, the person who answered claimed that I have a legal action against me for money laundering. The idiot does not know that such action shall be conducted by FBI not the IRS. I told him to go and ..........
He sound like an east Indian perhaps from Bangalor area. AOL has a service facility  there. Is it possible that by using Magic Jack some one is calling from India using a U.S locale. Call the IRS or the FBI to report any such call.

I got the same msg and they we're keep calling but I never answer so I got a voice my and I went to a police officer and he looked up the number and it was a scam and he report it to the IRS.

They called me twice today.The man who answered my call back to the first call claimed that I am accused of laundering money from abroad. First tale given lie. The first action should be taken by the FBI not the IRS. Second he refused to tell me the details. Second lie. So I told him to go and sue. He hang up. The guy I talked to gave me an anglo name but sound like an east indian person perhaps from Bangalor. I may call the FBI if they called again. It is illegal to impersonate a government agent and since they are out of my state, the FBI is the proper law enforcement agent.

This caller called me on my cell phone saying I am being investigated for fraud with the IRS since 2008 and that they are coming to my house in 45 min to arrest me?!? Must be total scam.  

I got a call from Albion NY before 6 AM this morning. Being awakened by a scammer is no joy. Then a message was left at 7:30 AM from 585-283-7019 which claimed that I owe money to the IRS and they want to speak to my lawyer. I suspect both calls are from the same group.

I got a robo call yesterday saying it was  IRS  investigator and I had to have my lawyer call  their lawyer. An obvious scam- the caller had a foreign accent,and, unfortunately I've had enough dealings with the IRS to know that you NEVER  get to talk to a human, much less , have one call you.
Today (3/5/14) I received another call from a man claiming to be an Investigator ( IRS have Agents who give you an ID "). I told him it's  scam and to not call back

Definitely a SCAM... got a call from this number yesterday left a message perpetrating to be from IRS and wanted to have my attorney call them back for some back taxes owed.  Yeah, right!

I got a call from this number claiming to be the IRS and accusing my son (who is a medical student) of money laundering.  I am an attorney and when I started to ask questions they hung up on me.  DEFINITELY A SCAM!

Received two of these calls this morning.  I just hung up both times.  This has to be a scam.  States he is from the IRS and to call back. Not happening

They are 100% crooks. No need to be concerned. IRS never make phone calls as initial contact. You will always receive an official letter with all information, the reason and 30 days to respond.  Report them to IRS or FBI.

I just got a call from this number. The guy gave a badge number. It did not sound real.
Affidavit against me with my name and social security number on it.
Should I be concerned.

I got a call from an officer this morning and I freaked out I told them only have $600 in my account. He told me to go ahead and purchase green dot for $600 then I have 6 business hours to pay the full amount of $3500. He also told me to not disclose this info to anyone. If I don't not come up with any money he'll sign my warrant and I'll be arrested in 30 mins. So I paid $600 but I made a couple of calls and all of them said it's fraud. I checked the irs website and I strongly believe that this is a fraud. I am now on the line with the irs to see the issue. He gave me his badge number but could not disclose my social for security issues. So this was a big red flag for me.

Got a call saying the same thing as MS... definitely a scam.
