i got a call from this number last night i have no idea who it is

It is telemarketing.....

it is a customer survey for about 70 companies. Someone you did business with provided the number to them in order to have you complete a satisfaction survey. For me it was DirectTV who gave them my number.

I have Direct TV and I got the call, but didn't answer it February 20,2009

They wanted to do a survey about our website

We use Paychex for payroll. That's the name & number displayed when they call us.

They said they wanted me to take a survey about government services in my area.

just received yet another call from this number, no message

Metrix Matrix Inc, or MMI, is a market research firm who specializes in customer satisfaction surveys. A variety of companies (including many utilities, repair centers, technology companies, etc.) hire MMI to follow-up on recent transactions (repairs, calls into call centers, etc.)  to get your opinions of the transaction.  These calls are NOT sales calls.  The professional interviewers do not normally leave messages because they can not receive inbound callbacks.  Metrix Matrix normally only attempts a phone number 3 times, and they never use auto-dialers. If you want to be placed on the Do Not Call list - simply ask the interviewer - it is never a problem.

this is a reserch company that perform customer satisfaction surveys. they are hired by other companies thoughout the U.S to get information from their customers to find out in what areas they need to improve or what areas they are doing well.

I received a call from that number. They left no message either.

Called several times over the past two weeks and leaves no message.

Call comes in as inter-office (one ring tone) at my workplace every time I'm not at my desk, leaves no message.  Have had at least 5 calls this year.

Who are these people.  Just received a call and did the google search.  All I found was this.  They call repeatedly and leave no message.

Call comes up as metrix matrix.  does not leave message.  only hangs up.

The call was a survey re: satisfaction related to local community quality of life issues.

I called 1-585-295-5680 back from my cell phone. It is a customer satisfaction survey.

Has called 3x in last week - no vmail message - how rude!

I received the call w/ no message. I live in PA why would I be on a survey list for a Vermont electric company!?

Metrix Matrix performs follow-up calls for other companies such as utilities, telecom, appliance repair, etc.   They do not sell anything only check on the quality of service received.  If you tell them you ahve a problem with the service they get their client company to contact you to fix it.

received second call from this number and called Metrix Matrix on their 888 number. Spoke with woman who said they were hired by Central Vermont Public Service (electric company) to perform a survey for customer service.

Requested number be removed.No problem. Woman who answered was very professional and apologised for the cell call.

Done..

Call came at 5:45. No message was left. Caller ID showed that it was metrix matrix. This company is some kind of reserch outfit: per their web site.

I have not received this call, but based on the area code, it's originating somewhere out of the Rochester, NY area

YES! That number called me 5 times within an hour yesterday. The first I didn't pick up and no message was left. The other 4 i did, said, "Hello?" and they hung up as soon as they heard a voice.
