Yeah, smelled like scam to me. I am on the DNC list, so that right away is a flag when i get a call like this, most reputable companies scrubb their call lists.  Said she was with IDT Energy Services, ( not a company that i do business with ), did i get my rate rebate reduction on my last bill? I said  "news to me",, just to phish her right back for her reply, which was, " go get your bill". I said I'll contact NYSEG directly, thank you, and terminated the call. I suspect she will phish for account number and such information from people who remain, inexplicably, still gullible in 2012.

Rang and no one there.  Another time rang and no message left.  Also a NYSEG customer....

Just called me, I said hello 2 times and got no response. Lucky I would have told them off.

This # called my home many time and never left message on machine. When I finally answererd it he sounded Indian with a lot of background noise and kept cutting out. He said he could save us a % on our gas & electric. Told him to call back to speak with my husband he never called back. Good thing for he would of got chewed out! Scam,scam,scam!!! Don't bother speaking to them & don't give out your information.

This number called my phone.let machine pick up and they hung up.

Call at noon today (Jan 23, 2012) from 585-331-8617.  Asked for person who paid Electric or Gas Bill.  My wife hung up.  Later we found out about NYSEG data breach.  Odd
