Got a call from this number. The caller left no voice message.

Calls received daily.  My boyfriend answered once .  They asked for me and said they were from the VFW.  Not according to Rochester, NY VFW.  They never leave a message when the machine picks up.

I keep getting calls from this number at least once a day - usually when I am at work, but also early mornings and weekends.   Never leaves a message.  VERY annoying.  I don't pick up calls that I don't recognize.

I keep getting calls from this number I have * 69 twice because I don't have caller ID and I don't answer my phone. My ans. machine clearly states I do not answer whether I am home or not and to leave message with name, number, and who associated with. Last nite someone asked for me by my first name but I still didn't pick up, didn't recognize voice and they didn't say who they were. Getting annoyed I don't owe anything to anyone and don't donate to anything.

These people don't know how to leave you alone.  Fourteen of the last 50 calls received on our home phone in the last week have come from 563-2843.  They ask for one individual, and if they are not there and you ask who they are, they hang up or say they will call later.  Returning the call to their number just gets you into a voice mail system with no answer, but if you repeatedly try, you can get thru - just tell them not to put you on hold, as they do that and never get back to you.  I finally got a person to talk to me, and they are solicitors for the VFW Convention Fund.  They say they are in Rochester, NY, but a local VFW in Rochester hasn't heard of them.  Stay clear of them - their callers are just plain rude and won't give you any info about themselves.  And besides, 14 calls in 5 days is harassment !!  The last individual I did talk to said they would remove our number immediately, but 35 minutes later, they called again.  Quite frankly, the next call from them will, in all likelihood, will result in my blowing a whistle loudly into the receiver - that may be what it takes to have them get off my back.

Keeps calling leaves no messages..We refuse to answer any calls that will not identify who they are or leave their names...

They call my house all the time....ring 3 times and hang up. I do not answer calls I cannot ID and they do not leave messages. I have redialed and get a message that says "if you were called @ your residence, press 1, your business, press 2, something else, press 3 and to speak with a department manager press 4." No amount of pressing any of the numbers does anything...they are clearly scammers.
Several years ago I got a call from Rochester, from a group posing as a State Troopers fund of some kind.I asked where they were out of and the girl mispronounced Rochester...I called her on it and she said English was her second language. She had NO accent, BTW.

I called the NYS Troopers and reported it. They said there are alot of scammers from Canada who set up HQ's in Rochester. So, beware. Just dont answer.
Sadly they cant be traced due to a phoney number. I have gotten allot of calls lately with fake return numbers.

Why are these dirt bags allowed to scam honest people?

I get a call from this number twice a week and you pick up the receiver and no answer and it is getting to be anoying

Keeps calling everyday but leaves no message.
