I am fortunate in that the phone that they call (land line) is one that is completely unnecessary to our daily use when our children are not in school.  I have turned the volume off and will consider removing the battery source if I continue to be harassed by them.

I wonder if they received my information through the Tea Party.  Unfortunately, when they called and I committed to a small (pity) donation, I found their behavior to be irreprehensible over a tiny pittance amount.  (I sent them three checks before they gave up on phoning me to get my credit card information and finally cashed the check.)

I once supported their cause, but they did not represent their cause well. Upon conclusion of the multi-check debacle I get frequent calls asking for money and two of those callers identifies themselves with the TP therefore I suspect this caller may be affiliated or purchased my name.  MY STRONG suggestion is don't give to the TP at present, they may not act appropriately and you may regret it. (I still support the idea, not just their delivery.)

586-625-1593 keeps calling me here in Hawaii; different hours, and never leaving messages. I've blocked them after reading all these comments.

Caller ID says MI and caller said something about Mountain Research.  I told them to take me off their call list and blocked the call from coming through in the future. Blocking these calls is the easiest way to prevent this BS.

Just got a call, answered. lady said her name and then asked am i speaking with a registered voter...i said please remove my number, she said oh..ok sorry for the inconvenience and we ended the call. couldnt make out the company name if she said it at all, she had an accent

Just received call and I decided to pick it up got man with foreign accent and I said "I'd like to have your home phone number so I can call you at dinner time."  He goes" I eat my dinner at 8:00", lol, no phone number though and I told him if your going to call different time zones know what time it is, hung up and blocked the sucker.

This caller is crazy. He called me twice a day starting from June 1st, 2014.

1st at evening around 4:30-5:30pm Eastern time and the 2nd time at around 7:30-8:30pm.
No message was left everytime.

I am glad there is forum like this to share the information of this kind of annoying caller, so I don't have to worry about missing some important calls.

Get called everynight at 8pm. I check the caller ID and do not answer the phone. By ignoring them, hopefully they will give up!

800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states do not allow them to call on their state DNC laws which can differ from the federal.

Female caller with possible Indian accent asked for me by name. I replied that I'd give her info if she'd give me her mother's home phone number so I could tell her how her daughter was harassing people over the phone.
She apologized for bothering me and hung up...

Claiming to be in Idaho and doing a survey on "local issues" - but extremely evasive about where they got my number an who their "client" is. Foreign female caller (Laura Martinez), 8:15pm on Mon. 28 APR 2014. Calling my cell number.

they said they were doing a poll on Dekalb county schools and when I answered yes they said thanks for the participation. If this poll is about Dekalb county schools why wouldnt they want to hear from the actual parents of children in grades K-12. Weird....

They call late at night...slightly after 9pm. They have called us 3 times and used 3 different numbers 586-625-1593, 586-625-1589 586-625-1581. No messages were left.

Keeps calling over and over again and never leaves a message. The called ID says "research center" .

They've called 3 times in the last hour & a half.  I don't answer but find it outrageously annoying....I'm trying to watch the basketball tournament!  

This caller calls everyday. When I answer no one is on the other end. If I don't answer they call again a short while later.

this telemarketer is harrassing my phone 3-4 times/day.  Robocaller.  No human voice.
5 calls in 2 days.  I do not answer.

The DNC does not cover Charity's, political and some survey's! These are exempt from the DNC unless they attempt to sell something like some illegal telemarketers try to use the survey as a excuse.

Just recd. a call from this number wanting household information...told them this is SUNDAY and quit calling and bothering me...female was very persistent so I became ignorant and gave her a ear full...they just don't take NO for a answer ....I am on the national  "DO NOT CALL LIST" but that seems to be worthless....Hope they got the message I gave and pass it on...

Just completed a poll with this company. They asked for me by name, which I told them was odd since most pollsters don't ask for respondents by name. I was asked questions about candidates for the MD House of Delegates race and candidates for governor. But then it became clear that it as a push pull to discredit a candidate by the name of Jonathan (I don't remember his last name). As soon as I asked "is this a push poll," the caller tried to confirm my name again and said the survey was over. They were calling all week at all times of the day before I finally picked up. I don't mind participating in polls as long as they're legitimate. This one clearly is not.

Two calls from this number this evening:  ~5:30pm and just now at 8pm.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  Also had several similar calls from this number this past week.  

As many others are doing, I now monitor all my calls and only pick up when I recognize the number or recognize the person when they leave a message.

After getting harassed by these people a total of 8 times the past 3 nights (usually during the 7 pm hour and half of them last night) and from reading what some of the earlier posts (this "research center" and wanting the "youngest voter") have said, I've a strong inkling that this is related to deadline for Obamacare open enrollment and yet another 3rd-party, independent "business" is overstepping their boundaries in doing the dirty work.
