We have a mortgage with Bank of America.  That's how Bank of America Mortgage Insurance got our number and that's how they're able to get away with calling people who are on the "Do Not Call" registry.  When I've answered the phone when they've called from other phone numbers (various area codes around the U.S.), it's usually a computer message.  I didn't answer the call from the 586 area code, so I don't know if it was an actual human calling or not.  No voicemail.

I've received 2-3 calls a day from this number and they never leave a message. When I called it back, as noted above, it was an automated system representing Bank of America "with special offers and services."  I pressed "1" for further questions, and it led to a menu tree to allow you to place your number on their "do not call" list.  I did so, and the confirmation said that it would take about 30 days to stop receiving calls.  We'll see what happens.

I received a call last night and again this morning from this number.  Caller ID says Warren, MI and that's it.  I called the number from work today and it says it's Bank of America making a special offer.
