Where exactly on Vic Toews website does it say to forward offshore bogus calls to his office?  If I could find anything like that I would do the same with our VoIP phones.  There would be at least 1 per day of not many more.

I have seen an increase in these kind of calls over the past month or so to a few of the numbers we own.  Once I set in our system to block the calls for one of our numbers, all our numbers are safe.  Problem is there are so many of these numbers to block because for just one of these jerks they use multiple numbers and change them (area code as well) on every call even back to back as you may read, so it's obvious these people are not using a payphone (as some have suggested) but VoIP or another technology which allows them to change the number on each call as they please.  Their provider needs to be made aware of what is happening to shut off their service (if they are in North America) or ??? if overseas.

I wish 800notes.com would compose a list of all the numbers reported as a phone fraud call so it could be easily added (or looked up on each call via the internet/VoIP) to stop them from reaching any of our numbers.  I'm sure other VoIP providers would do the same if there was a list available.  I guess 800notes.com would first have to add an option of FRAUD to the CALL TYPE field so it could be sorted properly... in the mean time TELEMARKETER could suffice as these are basically the same thing, but a list of all reported numbers would be great.

Just got a call from 587-332-0155, it was my last chance to receive my trip, so I pressed 1 and asked him what country he was from and he hung up, I am guessing if that was the only job he could get, he was uneducated and was ashamed of where he was from. What an idiot!!!!

I answered it as I always ask them nicely to be put on the Do Not Call List. The jerk on the other line hung up on me. Oh, pardon ME for YOU Harassing ME by selling scams for free cruises. Considering this is a Canadian area code and I am on the Do Not Call registry, why are they still coming through.

Just got call. Phoned back and mailbox is full - most likely a spam call.

I have the Panasonic phone with call block as well.  I too have completely filled the block list with 30 separate numbers (and have had to go in & delete some old ones to allow for new ones).  It would be nice if the Panasonic phone could save the blocked numbers in order (i.e. most recent caller) and then have it push off the least recent caller when adding a new one to the list.

Anyway, it's better than nothing.

Winnipeg.  We have two telephones, one with MTS and one with Primus.  The same number called both lines about 15 minutes apart.  I have telemarketing Guard on my Primus line but this call still got through the Primus filter.  I will now program my Primus line to forward this number to Vic Toews office in Ottawa, as per his website: Ph:(613) 992-3128 .  Maybe it will help prompt him to write some legislation forcing our telcos to do more to block these offshore bogus calls.

Just received this call - in Wpg. Did not answer. We no longer answer calls without caller ID unless we know the number. Checked here and saw notes above. Added number to my call block list on my great Panasonic phone with Call Block feature. Unfortunately can only block up to 30 numbers so need to delete some old ones to add new ones.

today i receive a call from the same number ,stranger number , maby a hacker some where who is trying to spy phone account communication to make business or .....?

Get almost daily calls from this number which I ignore because I am sure it has nothing to do with me. They are none the less persistent. I have had the same phone number for many years but am considering going to my cell number as my main phone number because of the number of calls that break through the do not call program.
It does not seem right that these companies are allowed to do this. If a sales person had come to my door with the same frequency as the calls do in days gone by I would have them charged with trespassing after handing them written notice. The anonymity works in their favour now and they are frequently in my home, so to speak.

The number is from India.. saying it is your last chance to get your free cruise.. Yeah sure...

1.5 hours ago a call that I let go to annssering machine one more bull s*** call what the _uck!

I've had 2 of these calls today in Saskatoon. I didn't pick up.

Almost daily call from this number. No message left on the answering machine.

5 second blank message on voice mail. Bugger off!!!

This number has called our line 4 times the last 2 days.  Never leaves a message. No idea who/what it is?   I'm in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I got a call from this number this am.  It was a recorded message telling me that this was my last chance to sign up for my free trip to the Bahamas.  I hung up at that point.

2nd call just like the 1st

This number just called my house, no message, didn't ring long enough to answer even.

Went to answering machine didn't recognize the number no message left. Again starting to wonder if having a house line is worth it only s*** head telemarketers, yesterday was  971-208-9960 what will the number be tomorrow. This must stop why is this happening to so many people day in day out what the _uck.

Area code 587is in my local calling area.  This call is bogus.
