I just received this call and after Googling the number, found this site.  Took the advice of others and called Telus.  Spoke with Tech Support who checked the number which is 'not in service' meaning the call actually came from overseas and they spammed the phone number.  Tech Support said not to call the number back as it shows that your phone number is valid and the spammers will continue to send text to the number.  He also checked the website and it appears that texts can be sent through the website.
As this type of filth is against my religious beliefs, it is very upsetting to receive these.  I could also lose my job if one of these come while I am at work as I work with children.  The Tech said that Telus will soon have the option of blocking cell phone numbers but for now any smut text messages should be forwarded to 7726 (SPAM on your keypad).  Telus will deal with it from there.  For me, the rationale is; if I would subscribe to a website like that, I would not be asking Telus to look into stopping the site from sending texts.  It will also show my employer, friends, etc that I am dealing with this to make it stop.
Not sure if forwarding to 7726 will work with other providers but give it a try.

Received text at 10:25 in the morning. Obvious spam and must be reported for theft of private (number) information and for spamming. Replis could resort in more spam and collection of phone numbers for theft or personal information theft through information from network carriers.

The message sounds somewhat legit...who knows if it is or not.  Anyway I am p... off with this kind of cr... on my phone, text, email etc.

The pathetic waste of natural resources sending these texts is located in Alberta.  It has now been reported to both my cell company, and the CRTC.  I recommend that others also report the number as harassment or "obscene" to your telephone providers.  Lets see how the morons like their thousands of dollars of fines.
