I just got a text from this number as well as a text earlier in the day from 1-888-262-1888. The text just states "Your Attention Is Needed". I'm in the U.S. and can't understand why I'd be getting texts from Canadian political groups. Must be really desperate.

PC are using this # as well.  Grrrrr.

I have had a whole string of calls from 587-887-****.   Originally I answered thinking that it was someone that I needed to talk to. Wrong!   The ones I answered were all Wildrose party.   I now do not answer any of those calls.

What a nuisance. If they irritate us this much why would we vote for them?

They keep calling my cell phone as well, but, I have never picked up. I have a Koodos phone & I don't think they have a feature that will let you block a call. If anyone knows how, I would appreciate some help with that. Mluch appreciated.

They are calling me on my cellphone at lease 3 times a day since 2 weeks ! ARGHHHHHHHH!

Yep - in Medicine Hat, and just received the phone call. Gotta love election season. Yep, good way to get votes, Conservative party of Canada. Especially reading comments here, just getting dead air. Glad i didn't answer it. Seriously thought about it, cause i know my Dad relies on Google talk for the most part...but, that's a california # they call from. So, didn't answer it, and as always - came here first to check the number, and Yippee! A week and a half Canada, and these will be done for another....year....knowing Harper LOL

I called the number, it is the Alberta PC party. Good way to get votes, interrupt my evening and leave me listening to dead air

damn they keep calling me too.. they never say anything, long silence then they hang up. if anything this proves pc party is incompetent and i shall vote for another party.

There was no verbal response at all when I said 'hello . . .  hello.'  I hung up.

I too got the call and have "blacklisted" this and other numbers that are obviously from the same source. I believe "Jack" when he posted it's the AB. PC Party. I have downloaded the app "Call Control" and it works like a charm. Trouble is, they are using multiple numbers -- last night I got 3 calls from 3 different numbers. Once blacklisted however, works like a charm. I'm in Calgary BTW.

It's the Alberta PC Party when you phone back. Doing "Voter ID". I blocked them on 587-8871871, and apparently they didn't take the hint.

I got two calls in the past couple of hrs.  One from 587-887-1871 and one from 587-887-2875.  Pain in the butt!!  Didn't pick up phone!

They are also using 587-887-1871
