Unwanted solicitation call regarding lowering credit card interest rates.  I am on the Do Not Call list.  How can they continue to call without being penalized?

Civil action by the FTC against these criminals has been totally ineffective. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on their claim of inability to pay. The FTC settles for minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine.
EVERYONE should be reporting them. It is important to keep up the pressure even though nothing seems to be getting done, or else the government will just sit back and claim they are doing a good job since there are fewer complaints.
These criminals need to be charged with FEDERAL FELONIES and subjected to significant prison time. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved. Charge them with a CRIMINAL offense and throw them in prison (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

Amazing I missed the call, so not knowing who it was, I called them.  I got a "This number has been disconnected".

I sure wish our government would do something about these calls.... instead of taking time (37 times) to overturn the ACA.

I didn't answer this when it came in on my cell phone.  When I tried calling it back it says number no longer in service.  This has happened several times but can't find a way to stop them.

Received this call on my cellphone...am on a fixed income and cannot afford to answer every call.  And, I do not, if I am not familiar with the number.  Thank goodness, there is a 'reject caller" option you can select while it is still ringing.  I cannot believe that with all this technology, we cannot actually "block" unwanted callers.  And the "do not call list" is a joke.  Many companies are exempt from it, like charities and the government...AND, random computer 'dialers' do not pay attention at all to the list.  So, it is worthless, anyway.

I keep getting phones calls from this number but they never leave messages.

Just got a call from this number, it was a recorded message.  I listened to about the first 10 seconds...something about the "stimulus" and my "credit rating", so I hung up.  Only answered it because it from the same area code where some of my family members live.

Unfortunately reporting companies like this to Do Not Call does nothing. The FCC which is the body that governs the Do Not Call registry will only handle complaints against valid companies doing legitimate business and most of these calls come from companies who are neither legit nor doing legit business.

The government agency that handles complaints against companies like these is the FTC and they are understaffed and overburdened and really only focus on high impact cases not companies like these that irritate and aggravate by calling folks like us.

Best bet is to get a call zapper for your landline or an app for you mobile that will allow you block the calls.

It stops the calls for a few months.

i receive cold calls on my cell phone from this number.  There is a recorded message regarding credit card rates.  If i push the button to get a live person, they hang up immediately when i tell them to stop calling.

Instead  of  the  Government  spying  on  our  calls  they  should  be  going  after  these  creeps  using  phony
numbers  &  bugging  people
