I also got a call from that number.  It was all automated...push 1 for this and 2 for this.  It had a few questions that were like that.  It then told me to punch in my card number, then expiration date, then tell them my mother's maiden name.  That had said that my credit card had locked up and in order to use it, I had to reactivate it.  My bank said they never do this.  When I talked to the bank, many other customers had been contacted from that number also.  It is a scam.

Received a phone call yesterday telling me that my PNC account has been locked (don't even have a PNC account) Then today received three phone calls within a few minutes of each other claiming that my debit card has been locked. I am also from Central Illinois.

Glad to know the world is going to crap.

Two calls today from this number.  Glad I checked this site for information first!  Shows up as Jackson, Mississippi.

I also got the three rapid-fire calls, 5 minutes apart. I wasn't at my phone, so I didn't answer any. Thanks for the information that it's a scam. Central Illinis here as well.

Im in central Illinois and I just got a call that came up as unknown.  Telling me my pnc debit card had been deactivated... I don't even have a pnc account!  Scary stuff!

They've called me twice yesterday and four times this morning. It's fraud.

Got the phone call, didn't answer it, the first time, no message.

Answered the second time and was told that my debit card, naming the correct bank, had been blocked and to push 1 to continue.

I did not.  That number has NOTHING to do with my bank.

Correction to my previous post:  The caller company was NOT PNC Bank, the automated message claimed that it was PNC bank (obviously fake).  Also, I live in east central Illinois.

Got two calls 7/28 from 601-969-3088.  One to my cell phone, the other to my wife's.  Automated message claiming that my PNC account had been deactivated, press 1 to re-activate.  I don't have any accounts with PNC so I ignored it.  This is most likely a phishing attempt by scammers.  Beware!!!

Oops.  Number that called is 601-969-3088.   Called the number back and got a recording from some Ministries that says their phone number is being used fraudently.

Got two phone calls this morning from 601-699-3088  to my cell.  First one at 8:12 am (pst as I'm in northern Idaho) and second one at 8:17 am.  Third call just came in while typing this, at 8:23 am.  Each time I hit the ignore.  Caller id shows Mississippi.

Voice message saming debit card is maxed, please dial 1 to continue.

I have been getting that call for like a month now!   Jerks!  I am in Chicago. The phone number just says 825.

Just got the same call...I have a feeling they are using the ministries phone number to re-route calls. I called my bank just in case!

keep getting calls from this no. its some kind of church or something. i work nights and they call several times a day, by the time i wake up to answer they hang up.

Just received the same message but the number that came up on the ID was 1007 on Monday at 9:56am.

Recorded voice: "This is Great Lakes Credit Union calling to inform you that your debit card has been locked." Two calls - one Sunday at 6 pm, then Tuesday at 2:45 pm.

I too received calls from that number, in calling them back.  They are a ministry and according to them, they have been flooded with calls about this.  They stated that they are trying to find out what is going on.  It is obvious that it is a fraud.  In the Chicago/Milwaukee area they are claiming to be from Great Lakes Credit Union

Yeah same here telling me my debit card from a bank I don't even use is blocked. I know the economy is bad but sheesh do your research before trying to scam someone using a cloned number

I got the same phone call. They said that my debit card was locked & they wanted information. I hung up & notified my bank (my card is fine). When I called the # back, there was a greeting from Calvary Ministries. 601 is a Mississippi area code. Hope no one gives them any info.

Phone rang, I didn't recognize the number, but answered.  It was a recorded message that my debit card has been cancelled and to press "1" to have it reinstated.  Obviously, I hung up.
