I called the number back - says they're some anonymous book club. I left them a nasty message telling them to remove our number from their directory and told them I'm calling the Federal Trade Commission, which I am going to do tomorrow. They call numerous times a day.

D Field is a collection agency in New Hampshire. They call you in attempts to get a hold a person they are looking for, if you have the same last name. They keep calling looking for Mary Harrington. No clue to who she is.

Can these scammer not call...I'm tired of they're s**t!!!!

Calls almost daily. I let my answering machine pick up. It stays connected all the way through my answering message, but no message is ever left.

My caller ID says "Dfield".  Leaves no message.

Calls daily as "D Fields"............I never pick up and they never leave a message. Sick and tired of it!!

D Field calls incessantly: everyday; multiple times; day and night; and never leaves message on voicemail and/or hangs up if answered after what appears to be a set number of rings. It looks like many people are reporting same number, I'm not sure what good reporting here does but I thought it was worth a try.

federal do not call lists do not apply to companies you have done business with.  So, if you are a member of a book club, you will get calls.  All you need to do is ask the caller to place you on the "do not call list."  They are then required to put you on their "do not call list."  However, it may take up to 30 days for that request to be processed completely.

I get the same call from d field.  I called back and it's some book club with an opt out on their pre-programmed menu.  They've already got my home number, I sure didn't want to leave any other information!  I'm going to contact the Attorney General.  

Is anyone else here on the 'do not call' list that was mentioned a few years ago?

I live in Wisconsin and get calls from this D'Field many times. I did a reverse search and it comes up as a business called Book Span. It also has a subtitle of D'Field. I think it is just another telemarket scam for books.

It seems the MO is always the same- no answer when picked up or no messsage on voice mail.

This number calls all times of the day and night. If you awnser no one is there, if you call it back a message says it is from a book club and wants to tell you about a special offer. When you are given a prompt to hit a number to remove your name the message says the line is full and can recieve no more messages. This is very frustrating.

These people called me at 9 AM on Sunday.  Who the heck does that?

Receiving calls from D. Field 602-246-2542. Answered phone and they said nothing. When I called back, it was indeed a solicitor for some book clubs. They seem to stalk people for a variety of different books. We are NOT members of ANY book clubs. Opting out of their call list is only a hoax they play on you when you call back. They continue to call. I even blocked the first number and calls started from a different trunk line..with the name D. Field on it. There appears to be no way to stop them except to let it ring unanswered.....all hours of the day.

I have received several calls from this number....strange no message is left.

Thanks so much for the information; we've been harassed by bookspan and now dfield on Sunday morning.  I keep telling my husband NOT TO subscribe to any direct mail offer because they're after your contact info....I will block the number....
