This is a legitimate company.  I called them back and talked to a guy who led me through a verification process (phone number address etc...)  They did not ask for any crazy stuff like credit card number, account numbers or personal ID stuff.

They didn’t tell me where the job was located, but said it was in my area.  The guy told me after I finished the verification that I would soon receive a phone call for an interview.  It took the company almost a week to get back to me.  Sounds good to me…

I called this number back and spoke to Matt about a job I applied for.  He told me it was for a assistant manager position. He confirmed info that I submitted on my resume and asked for additional info on my education background. I didn't give out any personal info nor would I ever.  I received a call from the employer within a week.

I also received this call. There is only one job in particular that I remember solicitation alliance with the university of phoenix, and that was for bartending.
I performed three separate bbb.org searches; one using (602) 354-9451, the second using Employment Select, and the last using University of Phoenix. The phone number returned the top 200 hits, Employment Select return a company in Atlanta GA. which has a different number, and Phoenix returned confusing results as well.
The BBB reports on satisfactory resolutions of all closed issues with the University of Phoenix, but their phone number is different. The area code 602 is for Phoenix, as you may know.
I will contact the University of Phoenix Administrative office informing them that the company they hired to prescreen applicants is getting paid for not doing their job. They are not diligent, nor committed to doing a good job. Actually, the job is below satisfactory.
I hope the University of Phoenix corrects the problem!!!

I got the call today at 11:28am..from 602-354-9451
The recorded lady named Melissa about a job I recently applied for online and that the company was confidential. So me being as nosey as Iam I called it back and when I heard the lady say the same thing over about 20times I just hung up. I feel as if you can't tell me what job I've applied for then your business is not legit. I didn't apply to any major companies that should be confidential like the WHITE HOUSE so I pretty much think it was scam :)

I also had the same number call me and I looked up their name...this was from a job that I had found on Craigslist...it was 2 companies that brought this up and they both had gmail accounts that you email to send your resume and reply. Then you get an automated response telling you that they are glad you are interested and please click onto their website to complete the application and it brings you to that Employment website. So it may be ligit but is most likely a scam...this is why I hate looking for jobs!

I also recieved a call that left a message on my phone from a company called employment select they said they are from thousands of companies that get them to screen employees for them. They said they need to do a pre screening for their employer. They never told me what company that I had applied for. When I called I just got a voice recording for about 3 mins then I spoke to someone named Meraly who said she needed to verify my information to make sure my application was complete, An application that I had filled out sometime in August and they are just now calling me back. She said that she don't know the company because it was confidential info but she only called out the info that she had in her system, never asked me any personal info she just wanted to know if I were still interested for that job. I told her yes, and she said the company will be calling me back. Hope its ligit

I got the same call, called back, (seeing I'm in desperate need of a job). There was no reason to be in front of a computer with internet access with the questions she asked me.  I DO however have a strong feeling that seeing the company is linked to University of Phoenix, that had I answered "yes" to "would you be interested in having a full time job and continuing your education at the same time", she would have asked me to go to a website to get information about enrolling with University of Phoenix.

Caller wanted to verify information, all questions asked were things on my resume that I have posted to several companies. I did not give out any information that they did not know already whch makes me wonder how many of these job listing are scams.

I got the call also but I did fill out applications on line.  The funny thing was when I answered the phone the recording said that it cannot tell me which job it was and that it was confidential.  That made me suspicious and I called the number back and got an annoying recording that was very repetative.  Definitely some kind of prank but I cannot imagine how they benefit from it.  Waste of people's time.

i just got this call on my cell.  I called it back to see what was going on after reading all of these postings.  As it turned out, my foster son had been applying for jobs and had used my cell as his contact number.  They knew his name, and he is in no way associated with my billing.  I'll let you guys know how this pans out.  Weird.....

I got the call at 8:07pm 11-18-08. Haha this sounds pretty crazy. It must be some scam. I never got a call from them until I put in my information on a job site, so I would re-track what websites you have been on and make your information private. I called the number back (because that was what the woman on the message said to do) and she kept repeating her self over and over again. So, I would think it is a scam.. I don't believe it will charge you but I guess I'll look at my next phone bill.

Got an automated call on 11/18/08 around 11:30am saying a client who wanted to remain confidential wanted to screen me for a job I had applied to and for me to call them at 602-354-9451 (which happened to be the same number they called on) and be sure I am in front of a computer.  Since I have recently applied for jobs online I figured it was a legit call.  But when I called back I got a recorded message with the same female voice that had just called me. The recording kept repeating over and over the same message that had been given with the initial automated call.  I started to get the feeling that this was some kind of a PAY-PER-MINUTE SCAM so I hung up (after about a minute had gone by) then got online and did a search (I like to use the ixquick.com search engine) and found that lots of people were getting calls like this.  Some of these other reports can be found at www.whocallsme.com. I guess I have to carefully check my next phone bill to see what's what.  Perhaps these people are farming employment websites (and other websites) for phone numbers to use for their scams.  So it may be a good idea to remove (or make private) your personal info at whatever websites you've posted your phone number at.
