They must have sent out a lot of emails. At least Comcast put mine in my "Spam" folder where it belongs.

THESE are known ID/CREDIT CARD SCAMMERS belonging to a known criminal organization.

They Also plant ransomware via emails

i got the same email i opened it and inside theres a shortcut-msdos file(no i didnt open that) named "efax_6023994730.pif" and i have also used logmein in the past

Exactly the same fax message notification just came in, but not to an e-mail address associated now or in the past with logmein, so that may only be part of the story.

Hidden link is http://www.lczconsultoria.com.br again with a wordpress link to a zip which doesn't look too nice, so I'm not looking any further, clearly malware of some type

Josh...Yes I have used LogMeIn for my business for years!  Are you for sure that this spam is linked to our accounts being compromised?  It is a little inconvenient to delete and stop using for a bit since I pay for the service and use it daily.  Any other thoughts?

If you click the link and open the zip it will open ransomeware.
I would recommend that you and everyone install CryptoPrevent and use a program like MailWasher to Bounce, Delete and report as spam with the use and subscription of SpamCop.
Never ever have your e-mail client automatically check e-mail upon launch, I would highly recommend not using Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail or any other so called e-mail clients and use the e-mail address provided by your ISP.

I got the same efax as described above. DELETING!!!!

I received the same message in my hotmail (junk email) account: I called the number listed, is disconnected/changed etc... I get phishing emails pretty much on a daily basis and have dealt with the nasty business of having to close ALL credit card, etc.. accounts because I clicked on a link (phishing) in an email/website NOT FUN!!!!  I also recommend NOT clicking on the link and report as phishing. FYI - Hotmail does not allow you to forward messages from your junk mail folder, you have to move it to your inbox (which I don't recommend either, it could be like adding the address to your "trusted sites"!)

I got exactly the same thing.  Its probably bad news.

I received a fax message from this number. I click on it and my anti virus blocked me from opening i knew it was something not genuine.

We reportedly received a fax from that number through

but that is a link to www.lczconsultoria.com.br/     with a   .zip file at the end.
No way would I download or open that file.
I am reporting this to Google (we use gmail) as a Malware attempt.
