Received a call, stating the woman was calling regarding my recent request for refinancing my mortgage. I immediately assumed it was telemarketing call, so told her I was not interested. She replied, you're not interested in what? Refinancing my mortgage, I said. She stated, Well, you know they checked your credit report. They have your birthday and social security number! I said, "excuse me?". Yep, she replied smugly...then hung up.

The number is unlisted and I have no idea what she was after, other a fake scam to get me to send her money to 'protect' my identity.
