Them have bbeen calling me for at least a year. Most of the time no one responds but a few times a young agent had spoke to me: cocky as hell and rude when I started to ask critical questions eventually hanging up.

I keep a whistle handy here at home and wiat for them to pick up so that I can blow it in their ear. I think that this is the only way to get the message to them. So far they continue to call but I'm really putting my old whistle to good use!

Since they are harassing HONEST law abiding people (us), and they will not remove you from their list, I have taken to having fun with them. Once they answer, tell them you can't hear them well and when they turn up the phone, use an airhorn, blow a whistle, if your mad that day scream really loud into the phone...while these actions may not do any good, it makes me feel better to take my frustration out on the scammer. You can even say whatever you want since criminals don't report crimes.

Left a message that they were "following up" on a conversation from last week, letting me know they "found a solution" to lower my interest rates and monthly payments. Except, like waterman, I never spoke with them before. Ironically, I don't even have a credit card.

Same thing - very weird.  I called back on my work phone and they said, "thank you for calling back If you no longer want to receive our phone calls please....."  I just hung up.

I'm getting these calls on my cell, too. I haven't picked up, because this is the fifth 603 number to give me spam calls...

I have received multiple calls on my mobile phone from this number.  It costs me money every time they call!  They are running an autodialer so that's why they keep calling back.  By law, autodialers must be programmed not to call mobile numbers.  This one isn't.  I think the best way to deal with unsolicited, harassing, expensive calls like this is to contact their service provider and let them know that this behavior is unacceptable.  I called and left messages for CEO Martha McCarthy at 603-334-6900 and their telemarketing compliance department at 1-866-225-1956 and suggest that you do the same.  Together we have a voice that can end this.

honest. The best thing to do would be to ignore the call, but that's no fun.
I've thought of repeating everything the caller says, or playing the dirty
old man "heh, heh, what color underwear are you wearing, heh, heh....."
but if is something else, that might not be a good idea.....

Just received a call from this number - a recorded voice  said they were affiliate with the Google search engine and if we wanted to have our business listed  "press one".  I never trust recordings.

Just got a call today from this number. They wanted to verify my business listing for Google Local Search Directory. I pressed 1 to talk to a person and he asked if I was the business owner. When I said yes, he hung up. Strange.

I just gone one of these calls from this number-- got one last week too.  I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.  I, too, have a business line and work out of my home.  It's my understanding that business lines are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call List.  I am sick to death of these stupid calls from the morons.  I have even contacted my U.S. senators in Georgia, Saxey Chambliss and Johnny Isaakson, which was a total waste of my time.  [I didn't vote for them before and never will -- so much for representing and listening to their constituents, huh?]  These scam artists' businesses have the politicians in their back pocket and I'm sure contribute to their campaigns.  Both senators' offices told me that they are exempt from the DNC list because they might be calling to offer services or products that I want.  I was furious and told them that I am perfectly capable of shopping around for any so-called "services" or "products" I needed, and if I don't want them calling, I don't want them calling.  Furthermore, probably 99 percent of these idiots are running a scam anyway and aren't really offering legitimate products that anyone would ever want.  I just want to know why they are calling all of us up, and as soon as someone answers, they hang up on them.  What's the deal?  Are they just trying to see if the number is a valid number so they can then sell our number to even more telemarketers?  If they were pushing a product or service, why do they hang up?

"Hello this call is for the business owner..."  I simply hung up right away. I had 'Call Center' on my caller ID.

I should point out that the business has a land line.  Obviously this tactic wouldn't work if the call comes in on your cell.

I keep getting this and similar calls at my business almost daily.  The way I deal with it is to do nothing.
I don't press any numbers or say anything, I just keep the phone line open.  That way the person or company generating the call pays for a longer lasting long distance call.  Just a thought.

Received call about reducing debt.  Pressed 1 for more info, immediately asked to be removed. No response, 15 seconds later I was hung up on.  I called the number back and pressed 1 to be removed from the list.  This is the 5th time I've done this. I've reported the number to donotcall.gov.

Just hang up as soon as you answer, its recording, just like the last 2 folks said, claim to get you listed on google maps. I'm already on google maps.

Call comes through once a day saying "attention business owner, this is not Google, this is a data compiler" and goes on to say if I want my business in Google local search I will need to verify info. I always hang up.

Almost daily calls. Very annoying. Automated recording says they are from a data compiler from google maps...the last time they called, I pressed 1 to see what the deal was...they want to sell you hits on search engines...when I asked for caller to send me some info via fax or email he hung up on me! Very rude.

Called said hello and then hung up on me was called around 8am today.
