They've called us several times.  Today was the first time they'd left a message and it sounded like it had been recorded in someone's bathroom.  Very hollow and echoey.  "First, we need to be sure we're speaking with the registered voter in the household.  If you are registered to vote, press 1.  If not, press 2."  Message ended there.

If it's the American Petroleum Institute, they've taken to changing their phone numbers to avoid blocking. If you're adding numbers to block, 703-829-0487 is another number they use.

I'm in SE Michigan too. These guys call me multiple times a day. Annoying. I don't pick up and they don't leave a message.

Add Columbus OH to the target areas.  I have the number set to IGNORE.  I can see ignored numbers in my log.  Ohio is an important swing state.  These annoying calls are about to get worse.  I would like to say that the Super Pests come from the right but I can't.  Advocacy groups from both the left and the right plague us, more so around presidential election time than other times.

These people call me on the weekends in the afternoon. They never answer. They never leave a message. Makes no sense.

I play a .wav file with the old AT&T (tones) "Were Sorry the Number you have dialed has been changed t" The removes your phone number from their system and political calling lists.

Received 2 calls this morning from 603-285-6137. Did not pick up and no message left. Google search shows the phone number belongs to Paetec Communications, Inc in New Hampshire. Google also shows Paetec Communications with a Michigan address at: 1874 Thunderbird, Troy MI 48084

HA! They are actually calling again as I type this! 4th time today.

The American Petroleum Institute must be harassing Michigan this weekend.  I'm in northeast Michigan and have two calls today from the Dover, NH number - at 11am and just before 2pm.  For the past couple of weeks I've been receiving two calls per day from a Centreville, VA number - 703-829-0487, which appears also to be energy related, some people have reported the calls are looking for support for the Keystone Pipeline.  Nothing from Centreville today, they must have passed me over to Dover for the weekend.

Called and left no message. Assumed it was a scam call.

Also in SE Michigan; called 3 times today.

Most residential phone line companies have a option to block numbers. have u tried that? i have att uverse and it lets me go to my online account where i can enter a number to be blocked. i can block up to 20 numbers.

Caller ID says Dover NH but it was from American Petroleum Institute calling about Keystone XL pipeline wanting to spill some crude oil in your drinking water.

This is a recorded message from "Bill from the petroleum industry...." yada yada yada. I didn't bother to listen to the rest of the spiel. Its just a political message and it is annoying as they all are.

Recorded message.  'Hi, this is Bill from the American Petroleum Institute...'  At that point I hung up.

I waited around for the stupid message... It was the American Petroleum Institute.  This number is now blocked.

Just  got call. I did not answer but I did block the call. They left no message. I won't waste my time reporting it to the useless government DNC workers. DNC is as big a scam as the people calling. I tried to get the name of the head of the DNC and the budget and was told I needed to ask by FOIA papers. Why the devil would those be 'secret' records? As long as Obama and the Democrats are in office it appears we will get no information with out a fight!
