Obviously people who sign up for SEO services must not actually want any tech support. Ive called this same number now twice on accident while doing outbound customer service, for a couple of different companies. Also the message states that its a "humor hotline" with high call volume and gives a 779 number to call instead.

Get a grip people. It's just a joke. And it's funny. Try to loosen up once in a while.

That number rocks!
Colleen 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
I keep getting phone calls about a "free" gift from my credit card rewards. When I asked for the name and phone number of the supervisor he gives me this number. Okay ha ha funny.
Annie 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
I did not realize that laughter and a joke were offensive to some people. Obviously, whoever sent this JOKE to some of you, incorrectly assumed that you had a sense of humor. Thanks for explaning the negative impact that a smile has on the world. I received this text and thought it was hilarious it made my day!!
TheTruth 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
It is a new form of viral marketing, like funny videos on the internet.
They have something funny, so people will call it and share it.
In reality, it plays an ad at the end and collects phone numbers of the people who call it. Your phone number/name registered to it is then tagged as a 'Responsive Consumer' and you may get spam/ad phone calls after that point.
Don't call it, don't share it.

OMG it was so funny. My boyfriend got it from his boss, told me about it, and I sent it to 20 people who were cracking up for days after it. I even sent it to one of my profs, and he told me he was going to send it to his parents. It's for everybody, but you have to use it respectfully. Don't send it to mental patients, people who would have a heart attack if they freaked out the slightest bit, and don't send it too, too late at night. I sent out the messages around 9pm to college students only. Other people, during the day. If you're too busy to have a laugh now and then, then you need to lighten up. As long as the sender sends it respectfully, there should be no reason why calling this number isn't hilarious! LOL

My friend called me up saying that her ex boy friend txted her for the first time in months.
she told me the txt said "My phone is dying and i really need to talk to you, call me at 1-603-413-4133."
So i told her what ever you do do not call the number!
Mean while i googled the number and i got this website.
people are just so stupid.

Forwarded from my nephew, some area codes go to places like the virgin islands which charge $300 and the US is required to collect it, unlike domestic calls.

sophi 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
my friend sent me a text to call that number and they would explain later. so i googled it and asked them if i'd have to talk to somebody. (i hate HATE talking on the phone.) they said it was just a recording and that it was funny so i called.
pretty sure i've heard at least part of the audio someplace before. and yeah, it was kinda cute. and funny. but meh.
had anybody (other than a couple VERY close friends) rickrolled me with this i'd never talk to them on the phone again. hell most the time i won't answer my phone anyways. and will text people back if they try to call.
Kitkat 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
They don't store your cell number. I've been using the site that it's from since they only had a few of these prank numbers, which has been a good long time. Never once have I gotten a sales call.
Some of you guys are just too paranoid. It's a joke; that's it.
Emery 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
You are all missing the simple most obvious reason a joke number like this might exist. Caller ID! You dial that number, laugh and enjoy the comedy and now your cell number is stored in a database for resell to a any sales call center who can afford these sought after cold call lists.
Sure some of you might have the forethought to block your number but most will simply dial it and a few months later, you will start getting sales calls to your cell phone.

Got a forwarded text from a friend stating to call 603-413-4133. I googled it first. Like many who made comments above, I will not call it. I have a sense of humor, but not interested in highschool stuff like this. I don't need to waste my time, phone & text minutes on it. Glad we can research numbers before calling.
Chelsea 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
I got a text from one of my friends saying that he needed to talk to me ASAP but that his battery is dying so call him at 603-413-4133. Luckily I am smart and googled the number 1st so I didn't call it but just FYI somehow it hacked my phone book and made it look like my friend sent the message.
Twitch 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
Got a text first from 248-410-0341 that it was really important that I call back and it told me to call 603-413-4133
mud 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
Calling that number was much more entertaining than calling my regular shrinks office.
IndianaObserver 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
It is not funny and it is waste of time to fall for ignorance. Researching and educating yourself and others is never a waste of time.
What is ignorant is not respecting a person's privacy and personal space and expecting to get ahead by doing so. If you are okay with someone violating another person's information, then you must be a person that is okay taking advantage of other people. It must be frustrating for you that a lot of people are longer falling for your terrorist like tactics.
You need to pay attention to the world around you and those that use these little jokes to weaken society's integrity. It ranks right up there with the bank scam emails saying you've won the lottery from some other country, or someone is in despirate need to have you cash a large check and put into their account. HELLLOOOO.... wake up America...
Dee 2011-06-06 20:52:13 Unknown
Just got the same message and I think it is completely stupid and full of non-sense. Especially when it is 11:15 p.m and got 2 children trying to sleep and my phone is going off waking them up over stupidity like this!!!!!!!
