It stinks when you fill out a form for a free prize and you get these info collectors calling within weeks trying to sell s***.

I will just stick to playing the lottery.

We won a free stay at the resort and loved it.we also bought a time share while we were there. It was a great deal if traveling is what you want to do. The people that say its a scam is people that have boring lives and don't travel. For a trip anywhere the cost is so expensive and I can stay in the first class suite for cheap or use my points. So the people that claimed is a scam have fum at the super 8 hotels

Got stuff like they said on phone, got a letter with all the details beforehand. They do ask for a matching id when you pick up the package but they let you hide the numbers on the card. We are thinking of using th cheapest hotel in orlando for a universal studios trip in december. Can't wait!   btw the tour was a little boring but it was quick since we just nodded a lot LOL and told them we didn't want to buy.

I think it's so funny how people think this is a scam. I spoke with Marissa on the phone and she said the airline tickets are a giveaway they do to promote the resort. Beyond the bs blabber of the telemarketer, I set up an appointment because I was told I didn't have to buy anything. The manager sent me an email with the terms and conditions. Everything looks fine to me! I live in Worcester, this was from a Sharks game actually. I think free airline tickets, $200 and a free stay are worth it. I'm headed up this weekend! Suckers.

I also recieved this call yesterday and am planning on making the trip up as of right now.  What I am wondering about this is what is the Travel Agency that they said you can use?  What were the hotels that you can stay at?

I got the call yesterday from Lorretta at 603-366-1099 saying that the entry form I filled out at a Manchester Monarchs game was "selected." I called it back today knowing that I didn't fill out anything for Steele Hill Resorts. Lorretta gave me her speal as I was googling the number and found this site. I told her that I was reading that they are a time share scam on the internet. she became all hurt sounding (yeah, right) and said "all it takes is one person to write something on the internet and everyone believes it. you shouldn't believe what you read on the internet because it's sometimes all lies" (yes, I'm sure that's what she said because I just hung up the phone). she then went on to tell me to go to their web site to read all about the resort. ummm...Lorretta? you just told me not to believe what I read online!
anyway, I told her that I'm not interested and when she said that she wants to call me back I told her that if I changed my mind (which will NOT happen, no way in Hell am I falling for this) I would call her back within a week.
I plan to follow up with the Monarchs to let them know that I am never filling out anything at their games again. the only things I ever filled out were chances for Monarchs tickets and merchandise.

I have done these visits several times- and guess what? It's NOT a scam and you really do get the plane tickets . Took my whole family to Disney with those tickets! Also  was given lunch and 200.00 cash for driving up on a weekday. And no I did not purchase a timeshare!

I was worried when my 65yr old parents told me about this and that they were scheduled to go up and stay for a night at this resort and pick up their vacation package the next day. Their room was held with a credit card and 50 dollars...They didn't have to stay overnight but it was offered to them along with the airline package. Everything turned out fine! They said they had a nice time, got to use the pool and golf course, etc. They said the woman who did the tour was easy going and let them go with their gifts when they said they weren't interested in buying when it came to the end of the tour. I looked over their package and the brochure it comes with to pick hotels, it looks like a good trade for 90mins of your time... If you have the time lol. Oh and their money got refunded to them the same day they checked out of their room. So the stay was free! I looked at their website online, it looks beautiful. I've lived in NH my whole life and had never even heard of the resort.

My husband received a call from a Tammy at the 603-366-1099 number at Steele Hill Resorts.  We're debating about going up since an overnight trip would be nice.  On the flip side, however, 90 minutes of my time to listen to a sales pitch where I know we will be saying no, and then probably not being able to afford the package even with free airline tickets doesn't exactly tickle my fancy either.  We entered some kind of drawing (probably for free merchandise) at a Providence Bruins game who knows when since I cannot remember the last time we went to a game!  We're still on the fence, but after reading these posts, I'm leaning quite heavily towards lets just take a nice dinner out for $50 without driving 4 hours in the car with a 2 year old!  Thanks for all the posts!!

I got a call from "Alison" returned it today. I have an appoinment tomorrow to go hear their 90 minute sales pitch. While I know nothing in life is free, its worth going to take a look tomorrow. I will let you know how I turn out. If this is a waste of time I will let the Lowell Spinners know that I am dissapointed in their tacktics.

Got the message today, got my name from a worcester sharks game. I'll give them credit: On my message they were careful about the wording, definitely said chosen for promotion. THey were so careful it sounded suspicious so I checked the good ol' interweb and here I am. Not doing this. No way, no how.

I just received my call from them. I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail and then googled it.  I'm glad I did.  I won't be answering their calls.  No, the don't say you have "won" anything but they do say that you were "selected" from among the entries, which of course is total B.S.  I know darn well they are calling every number from every entry.

In response to Sue's comment about not remembering anything about a time share mentioned when she filled out the slip at the Providence Bruins game:  I filled out a slip to be "fan of the game" to try to win free Sea Dogs tickets. After dropping my entry into the box my friend, who was also filling one out, happened to notice on the BACK of the form, in small lettering at the bottom, the information that states you are now giving them consent to call you despite any no call lists you may be on.  I was absolutely pissed off.  If I had seen that I wouldn't have entered.  I think it is ridiculous that they are allowed to do it that way.  The form should be bigger so that that information can be shown on the front.  Of course then they wouldn't get nearly as many entries.  I went to talk to the representative there to ask them about it and was basically told to just answer their call and then tell them I was not interested.

Time will tell how many times they will try to call me.  I am really disappointed in the minor league sports systems that are allowing this to go on.  They should make it 100% clear what you are signing your name to, not try to hide it.  I will be complaining to the Sea Dogs for certain.

Received the identical call as others have described.  Was told that my entry was selected from when I submitted it at the Providence Bruins game (back in Feb!), and I was told that I was "selected for a nice travel package and a gift certificate."  Called back even though it sounded suspicious (if it sounds too good to be true it usually is) and long story short, it was for a time share presentation.  I explained I was not interested in a time share as we already have vacation property, but I would be happy to look at the info if it were mailed to me.  Was told they don't mail the info but they gave me a website address (which I did not go to).  I do remember filling out a slip for a drawing at a P-Bruins game, but distinctly remember it was for either P-Bruins merchandise or tickets, I don't remember seeing anything about a time share - if I had known it would be used to add me to a call list, I probably would not have filled it out to begin with.

Just got this call while I was at work from 1-603-366-1099.  Same old story as I've read here.  Something about entering a drawing with the Providence Bruins.  Just told them I was at work and they said they would call later.  I really just wanted to google the number and this is what I found.  I guess I'll have some fun with them later.

This post was very helpful to me.  Thanks for your info.  I went to a Seadogs game in Portland Maine back in July and just got a call now...in October.  I really appreciate this website as I found the call incredibly sketchy.  I guess I won't be following up with my "free" airline tickets.

This is not a "protiotional getaway." It's a sleazy attempt to sale an over-priced timeshare system.  Do not waste your time driving to this resort.

Looks like they are also getting people at the Lowell Spinners games too. I filled out an entry form to win Lowell Spinners baseball tickets. Now I am getting calls from these people saying I had won a great gift basket that includes 4 airline tickets to anywhere but there are blackout dates such as school vacations. Also, I would get a check for $200 as spending money when I booked my first trip. I was also told I would receive a book for $450 to the Tanger Outlets. I only had to go to Steel Hill resort and listen to a speech. I had to bring 2 forms of ID including driver's license and check book/credit card. Beware, don't give these people the time of day. TOTAL SCAM!!

Just got the call as well. Kiera at 603-581-2336. Said I won free airline tickets at a Sea Dogs game. It does amaze me that can't trick you any better - it sounded fishy from the get-go, but glad I got reinforcement from this site. I feel bad for others who get roped into this. I"m going to let the Sea Dogs know about this; this is ridiculous and pathetic. They should know better. This hasn't happened to me in years, which makes it even worse for the Sea Dopes and anyone else who partners with Steal My Time and Money Resorts.

My first reaction was to tell them, when they said I had won free tickets, that I wasn't interested.  After searching and finding this, I'm glad I did.

They got my name from a fan-of-the-game form I filled out for the Providence Bruins.
