I have told these people that the person they are looking for doesn't live here and never has but...they call my number 2 to 3 times a day! How can I make this stop other than changing my number.

Accretive is licensed as a debt collection agency in Minnesota.  Last year it raised over $100 million in a public securities offering.  As noted above, Accretive Health is a portfolio company of Accretive, LLC, a Wall Street private equity fund with a controversial history in Minnesota relating to the arbitration and collection of consumer debts.  In 2009 the Minnesota Attorney General?s Office sued the National Arbitration Forum?the nation?s largest consumer credit arbitration company?for telling consumers and courts that it independently and neutrally decided consumer credit cases when, in fact, it was affiliated with a New York private equity fund that owned the major debt collection enterprise that filed cases with the Forum.  That equity fund was Accretive, LLC, and it set up the enterprise in which it simultaneously took control of the nation?s largest debt collection enterprise and became affiliated with the Forum.  In the wake of the lawsuit, the National Arbitration Forum was banned from arbitrating consumer credit disputes, and the debt collector owned by Accretive, LLC shut down.  Accretive, LLC (the master equity fund), however, survived, and Accretive Health is one of its portfolio companies.

I live in Germany and got a prepaid AT&T Go phone in New Hampshire to use during my vacation in the States this summer. This Medical facility has called several times using up my minutes. Maybe the last person who had my number owed them money or maybe it's just a marketing scam. It's not even a real person who calls, just a recording. I've since learned not to answer when they call. Stupid nuisance!!

It is Dartmouth Hichcock collections. Apparently no one there knows how to process a clain to the VA medical center for a patient who was sent to Catholic Medical Center. CMC submitted a claim and got paid. Dartmouth hitchcock was told several times that they should do same and/or check with CMC how to do it..
They have called several times Today no one there when I picked up. I called back to tell them again the deceased name and SS Number and contact VA Med Center and ask Catholic Medical Center how they did it. Apparently they just want to make calls and pay people by the number of calls they make.

I don't want unwanted call from collection company

Caller hangs up and won't leave message.  I don't know anyone in Hanover NH.
