This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

This number is a "spoofed" number which is not their real telephone number.

This company calls themselves "Global Assets" and is based in Florida. They also use (705) 995-0694, also a spoofed number.

Their real number is (407) 479-3934, if you need to get in touch with them.

Get this caller weekly and never bothering to answer.  Just another phone scam.

This fortunately has a "Press 2" to remove your number from our list - Hope it works.  However, the National Do Not Call Registry is a complete WASTE OF PUBLIC MONEY as there are so many calls posing as surveys and public service announcements, etc.

Wanted me to apply for 0% interest rate on my credit cards...Sorry, not biting!!

Hi. I just got a call from these guys and did press one. I was connected to a man who referred to the company as global asset something or other - I can't quite remember. I asked what credit card they were calling about to see if they really had info on me but the reply was vague "we deal in visa, mastercard and american express". I said I don't have a credit card and they said "But we're calling from a list of credit card holders in good standing." I asked how it would be possible with no credit card. He was confused, apologized, and said he would remove me from the list. Then he hung up.

I love pressing 1 on these calls - I've never actually had someone NOT hang up on me before when I asked about their company. It allows me to report them as a questionable company - but this was a first. We'll see if I get any more calls.

Same thing today. answered it but it hung up on me? Does anyone know the source?

I am also on that DNC list - that list seems to be a joke cause the calls keep coming in - getting fed up with it.  Another example of wasted money that our government spends on this political bs.

I got the same number, but answerd it said Hello no answer back and the person on the other line just hung up the phone so IDK

Just got the call from this number.  I too called it back, and it told me that this caller can not receive anymore messages....first time it has called me.  They ended up leaving a message on my answering machine that I was unable to decipher...hmmm..

They have been calling for weeks!!!!!!  It must be on an auto dialer.  I can't even have any privacy in my own home anymore!  If I need a certain business to do something for me, I will go to them.  Telemarketing is almost the lowest form of life on this planet.  Sorry if I have offended anyone, but there are other jobs out there.

It's probably a bogus return #, but if you are on the DNC List, report it anyway.  Maybe they will track them down.

Just got this call again. Been calling daily for weeks. I pressed "0" and got someone on the line. But as soon as I mentioned that I have repeatily asked to be removed from their list, they hung up on me.

just got the same call didn't answer but I do love messing with telemarketers...did you know they cannot speak first you have to initiate the call by saying hello so most times I just pick up and say nothing..and they have to hang up...

I just got a call from this number on my 289 (Ajax) mobile phone.

As others noted, I got the "...due to recent legislative changes..." recorded message before being presented with the options:

"Press 1 to learn more, or press 2 to be removed from our list."

Upon pressing '2' I was informed that I '..did not respond quickly enough.' The message repeated and I was prompted again. Upon pressing '2' more quickly, apparently I *still* wasn't fast enough whereupon I was told, "Maximum number of attempts reached." and the system hung-up.

Has anyone tried pressing '1'? Might it direct me to an actual person to whom I can give an earful of unpleasantness?

Got a call from this number yesterday.  No one on the other end. Hung up.

This phone number has been calling me for days... 3 times a day and I never seem to be home when it calls!!! Don't know who it is...

Got one this morning, no message and when I called back said mailbox was full.

They called last week  with the same old song & DANCE ABOUT INTEREST RATES disguised as a survey..  HA HA HA HA.. I told them to remove me from their calling list & got assured I would  ( See me rolling of the floor laughing?? ) They called earlier this week and again today ( caller ID only ).

They HAS to be a way to get these idiots from calling!!

This is format is designs to gain access to your phone line to not press the buttons in the sequence asked for or else you will allow access to long distance calls from your line.

I just received a call from this number.

A computer voice was referring to "recent legislative changes, you may qualify for interest rates as low as 0%. Press 1 for ..." before I hung up.

Very scammy sounding.
