They call cell phones thank god i dont have a credit card, my phone has à blocker and it reports unwanted calls to the police it tracks how often they harass you haha will catch thèse theives, do not call list does not exost its all à lie i used to work in market research, if you cant block them keep à record and go to the police

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

So it's another one of those identity theft phone call scams. Never "verify" any information with any company over the phone unless it's a company that YOU called and that you know is legit. Just don't answer the phone when they call, or hang up on them, or have fun with them, tell them to hold and hum elevator music, tell them to hold and hang up, tell them to hold and then come back and ask who they're holding for...and then tell them to hold again! Don't blow up at them, they'll just call back over and over to harass you because they know they can get under your skin. Honestly, they have nothing better to do with their time if they have jobs like these you can't expect them to apologize or have a heart all of a sudden. Just ignore them, they'll leave you alone. Add yourself to the Canadian Do not call list https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/insnum-regnum-eng . If you get harassed from these kinds of people lodge a complaint through the DNCL website, the government can fine them up to $25,000 for harassment. Finally take a deep breath, don't let them get you angry! They're not losing an ounce of sleep over upsetting you, so why should you let them bother you?

i keep getting this call as well, getting so annoyed with these calls

They called me 6 times in the past two days, so today I heard them out. I was told that I won a trip to Florida (although, like those who commented before, I did not enter any contest) and after about 20 minutes of telling me how much I am going to love Florida and how warm and sunny it is there right now they asked if they could send me a confirmation package.  As soon as I said, sure, you can send it and I will review it, they asked for my Visa number.  I went ballistic.  It is a big fat scam.   They also use the number 1-866-279-0258.

i dont know strangers i had this happen to me 4 times. i ignore it and plus i told the  police at bremerton hospital at my work. she was playing joke on me. she was texting about being causin. and i told the police right away at bremerton harrisson hospital. on my cell phone she said badwords to me on my text but i ignore it again.

police the women is trying to hurt people. she wont stop calling people lots of times. i know her number she wont stop harrassen other people.

Received another call from these b*****ds but the number was 647-933-9605 which is a Toronto Ontario number.  They are using tollfreeforwarding.com to mask their identity.  I phoned toll free forwarding and let them know, hopefully they can find the ACTUAL number they are calling from.  I spoke with Phonebusters as well regarding the issue.

I asked the woman on the phone who was desperately after my VISA card, (which I don't have) if she had a soul.  She didn't like that haha, I then called her an idiot for scamming people and that she'd get caught.  She kept after my credit card number even after all that!  These people are relentless crooks who deserve the worst the law has to throw at them for this crime.

The number is a land line from North BC, Canada.  Seems like an idiot is using their home phone to do this.  They will easily get caught haha.  I've already e-mailed and called in a complaint.

I received a call on the 7th of December (yesterday) from this idiot of a woman.  She was trying to sound like a professional customer relations person but sounded like a moron because her voice kept going waaay up in the middle of every sentence.  Anyway, she said something about winning a vacation to Disney World and wanted to confirm my name, postal code and e-mail address.  I said, what website did you get this from?  She ignored my question and asked if I was married.  I said yes even though I'm not because at this point I knew she was a scammer, I led her on until she asked about my credit card information.  I said I didn't know what a credit card was haha.  I called her a c#nt but I think she hung up by that point.

Have received 4 calls from this number very upset at them not understanding what "Take me off your list" means. This is harrasement  plain and simple. What recourse do I have??

Complete scam!  I, too, recieved the same scam phone call.  Do not verify any information.

im so glad that other people are getting. not like in a good way but like so i know im not the only one. my mom and i have been reading your guyz comments and as you can read like my last comment. but guyz if the call again my mom decided that if they ask for you. say hold on a minute and let your parents talk to them i think that is the best way to do it. and dont give them any imformation about you.

I received the same thing too.  The lady is been calling since yesterday and only today I picked up and told her not to call me anymore.   She called like two to three times again and just 5 minutes ago she called again and I just blew up on her.  I was sooooo ready but she kept on cutting me off while i am talking to tell me information about me to confirm them.  I screamed at her and told her you listen to me, YOU ARE NOT LISTENIG TO ME, LISTEN TO ME  i am not interested in any vacation, I dont care what you got, its from another person frauding....bla bla.... I told her this is all a scammmmmmmmmmmmm, she hanged up the phone on me.  Now I am pissed and cant go to sleep.  IF she calls one more time, I swear I will blew on her even more, and calling her all the names in the book.

They've called me 3 times today. It sounds just  like the above.
I've won a trip to Disney. I'm married (which I'm not) verified my name & e-mail address, said I'm in good standing with Visa, said they're calling from America, and what I was waiting for  - you just need to pay $198 or a similar amount. I said no thanks, I'm not going to pay that. Good luck (which I don't mean of course) and hung up.

I recieved 5 calls today from 3 different people saying they were from "america" and that i won a trip to disney world...i wish i knew how to get them to get lost and leave me alone!!

I got a call from this number 4 times today. They tell me I won a trip to Florida. Every time I told them that I was not interested and to stop calling. They keep saying I entered a contest and if I could confirm my information I would be on my way to Florida. They tell me they're from America, however, 604 is a British Columbia (CANADA) area code.

Just today they have called me at 10:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 6:30pm and again at 9:00pm which is when I finally answered. Melissa, I believe was her name, asked if I was (my name) then continued onto saying how she's calling from "America," and I've won a Disney World Trip to Florida, in which I entered (did NOT enter - actually!) 604 area code is from B.C and I told her that she was calling me from B.C. She chuckled and said again, no im calling from "America." I started talking but she cut me off now telling me my date of birth and my email address (this certain email I only give out for personal uses such as BANKING!) I told her it was incorrect information and asked exactly what part of "America" she was calling from. Then I was hung up on!! UGH!! >:O

These people are calling and pretending that you won qualification in a contest, and they just need to verify some of your information. They knew my name, email address, and birth date, so I thought it was legitimate from contests I entered, until they said I am married which I am not and would never say I was... plus no contest I ever entered asked that. So, two times I told them it must be a scam, and they called a third time saying they just say that and if you`re single they say, `well, you must have someone you can bring.` Then they asked about charge cards: `I see you are in good standing with your Visa card` to which I said, `really, I don`t have a Visa card.`and she switched and said `oh, no I mean your Mastercard`` and when I laughed she hung up on me. = Total scammers! either waste their time like I did or just hang up!

This company states that i won a trip for 2 to florida. Funny thing is i never entered for it. They have called 4 times in one day. i politly declined the first time and then got ruder as they kept on calling. on the forth time I not so politly told them to not ever call me again.
Well again today they call.....when does it stop.  Where do we report these people. This is now harrasment.

Have the thing happening to me from the 2 #s listed above and 321 445 2546 a # in Orlando pay no attention to these calls they are a scam.

Same thing with me, a woman called last week, and I jutst hung up on her, then a man called me the next night from a 205 area code.  The this past weekend again the same woman called me again as last week, identified she was from "America" so right away I asked her where she was from in America, she tried to get around answering the 3 times I asked her, as she was casught off guard, then she finally said Florida, So right away I asked her what the area code was and again she hesitated before answering, I told he she's been caught, and if she calls again, the police will be contacted.  So I checked out the Phone # that came up, and it comes back with a British Columbia Area Code, Some America, LOL

DO NOT CONFIRM ANY INFORMATION.  THESE PEOPLE ARE KNOWN FOR SCAMMING.  DON"T LET THEM DO IT TO YOU.
