I got the call. Picked up - they put me on hold for a while then disconnected. I tried to call back but the "number is not in service". Same number always.

If you call back to "opt out", as suggested by the shill, your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future targeting.

I did it and it worked. I guess my number was connected to a credit delinquent. If you don't have credit issues, then they have the wrong number, but they won't know that unless you call them back.

This is in fact Global Collections, they represent numerous accounts, and yes they are ruthless. First thing, you need to familiarize yourself with collection laws for your province. Here in BC, an collector by LAW, MUST, provide their name, the company they represent and their collector licence number before even having the right to ask for information. It is against the law here to threaten you with a lawsuit and they can lose their licence for even stating that. You can verify a collectors licence by going to your provinces Consumer protection website and click on "verify a collectors licence" when you enter that number for any collector in north america it will verify if they are licensed, their full name and where their office is located. If its not there, they are not a licensed collector so do not provide any information to them. You can also reverse this with the company name and look up if this person is registered to that company.
You must report any violations immediately to consumer protection and they will put a stop to it for you. The only way to get these people to stop is to report them.
They are not permitted to call you at work EVER, they are not permitted to threaten, swear at you, or be aggressive in anyway shape or form.

I am also with Rogers and have been getting daily calls for the past three weeks and am wondering the same thing..

Yep Same thing. Last chance, blah, blah, blah. They've called eight times in the last three days and I'm really getting fed up.

That's what I've been getting too - someone (it sounds like a tape, not a live person) saying this is the last opportunity to complete the conflict resolution. I don't have a conflict resolution. And I won't call back to the number they give because that just puts you on another sucker list.

I just don't talk to the robocaller.

I get the same call 2-3 times per week. It's a poorly-done scam that I've never bothered to hear out. It starts something like "this is your final notice..."
I did call the number back (after ignoring it today) and I got the same message you did i.e. " this number has been disconnected"
So, it's b***s***.

These are the numbers of collection agencies used by Rogers Communication Inc.  Rogers has a habitual pattern of falsifying information on their customers accounts and then filing fraudulent complaints with Global Credit and Collection Agency.  This agency is relentless at pursuing former Rogers Customers in order to collect money.  Their harrassment often works as many folks just pay them to stop the harrassment.  The RCMP has a comercial fraud unit which investigates these types of problems.  Rogers has been taking to CRTC oversight Commission and the Human Rights Tribunal many times for complaints akin to these.  I suggest if you are bothered by ongoing Criminal Harrassing calls, contact the Fraud Squad of your local Police Department or the RCMP Comercial Fraud unit in Canada.  Alternatively, one can petition the Courts for an arrest warrant issued in the name of the President of the Company who initiated the Fraud in the first place, in many cases where Global Credit is used, one needs to obtain an arrest warrant for the President of Rogers Communication Inc.  Document each incident of calls, keep track of all the numbers they are calling from and report to the Courts or the Police.

I get calls all night long from these numbers.. I now have to shut my phone off at night. I am with rogers and only give my number to people I know. I am wondering if rogers has something to do with this so they can run up my bill for long distance charges.

Same with me and i'm starting to be scared.

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of  Iristel VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

Repeated robocalls leave messages daily and fill up voicemail box.

These people (if they are people and not some kid in a garage with a pre-recorded message) keep calling me everyday. I refuse to answer these calls, as it is a number which I do not recognize, and therefore will not answer. Call Display will show the name of the caller, and it is not functioning for these calls..... And besides, they wouldnt want to call me. My vocabulary is full of expletives, and I am FLUENT in both that and b***s***. Hell I would make a great telemarketer myself, huh???

I've been called everyday for at least two months and every time it's from a different number.  They leave a voicemail message saying "this is your last chance to address this matter"...  I tried to file a complaint, but there's no category I can file the complaint under through the "do not call" list.

I get a message every day saying that "this is the last opportunity to handle this matter in our office" There is no name or Company or reason attached. This has been happening for 2 months!! Frustrating!!

They just called - did not leave VM  -  and we're a company in Calgary  - Had a call earlier today from 604-210-2905 telling me to call 866-350-1405  

Must be some new scam or telemarketer's tactic

These shameless people have been calling on daily basis and left voicemails sometimes. When you answered an automated voice would ask to speak to a person that never exists and direct you to a human. They wouldn't give their company name or phone number so this is clearly a scam.

Part of a large scam. I was targeted with 6 voicemails all from different numbers. Some would leave a message trying to sound official with needing to verify information according to the Federal Government of Canada, some wouldn't leave a message, but THEY NEVER IDENTIFIED WHO THEY WERE, TELL ME WHAT THEY WANTED, OR EVEN CALL ME BY MY NAME IN MY VOICEMAIL.
