I have been getting calls from this number twice a day for weeks. I never answer it because the caller id does not identify who it is and I will never answer it as long as they are not prepared to allow their number to be identified as the caller!

This number called me earlier. I got a recording asking me to press one for English 2 for French. I didn't press anything because I've heard of scams to do with pressing numbers. I will block it on my phone now.

they said they are from mbna calling for credit something service blah blah, i hung up.  hate spam calls.

They keep calling til you finally pick up and have a conversation... IF the line doesn't go dead.

Very confusing conversation: woman with spanish(?) accent offering to send me my Equifax credit report for free ("normally you have to pay"). I asked her if she was informing me of my card policy changes or trying to sell me something and she just repeated the same thing. I repeated too: ARE YOU TRYING TO SELL ME SOMETHING? She said no, only sending me an information package with my free credit report to check and make sure I am the only person with my name, and look for fraud/ID theft. She said I didn't have to do anything upon receipt, the information is mine. She "reminded" me that if anything seems amiss to call them and they will cover any fraudulent charges that appear from the time I called the loss or theft of my card, and can also provide emergency funds(?) if needed. I am unconvinced that this is merely a friendly service call from MBNA, but we'll see what arrives in the mail I guess. My hunch is it'll still end up being an "information" package signing me up for "free" credit card balance and fraud protection program which I will have to remember to cancel or some other similar garbage. Nowhen did she ask for my consent for anything. Hmph.

had a few calls from you pick up nothing but silence, i waited and gave it time, but no answer, how did they get my cell number, i have no mbna charge card!

Got the call from 604-229--0711 everyday around 10:30am for more than 4 days. Pick the phone and said hello ,hello, but no one reply, just silence .

This is totally a crazy behavior .

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

It's a scam! They call pretending to be MBNA and offering to (ironically) protect your credit card from fraud.

I keep getting calls from this number over three times a day while I am at work. When I tried calling back the number does not dial.

F*ck MBNA I'm getting these calls constantly now. Anyone know how to block it?

I've started getting the calls too - MBNA MC advising an amazing service that will benefit me some way or another. They don't take a breather to allow you to sa you're not intersted. I tried to kindly cut the woman off and say I was not interested and requested to  no longer be called. I got a call the very next day... Just another number I'm going to avoid.

I keep getting calls from this number (on a daily basis). The odd time I have tried to answer it there is no one on the line. I wish they would stop calling me.

They call me daily! Tried to answer a few times and nobody said hello back? Finally got someone and asked them to stop calling me... That lasted a day, try continue to call daily...awesome

These people are driving me crazy too! They call on a DAILY basis - and sometimes MULTIPLE times a day. Morning/Afternoon/Night.

Every time they call I haven't had a chance to answer - but the next time they call and I'm not at work - I want to answer and scream at them so bad to just go away and stop calling me!!!

They keep calling repeately,  and I want it to stop!

These people will not stop calling me!

If I answer to ask them to leave me alone the line is completley dead!

604-229-0711 is a telemarketer for MBNA Mastercard (and I'm sure many other companies).  It's for the credit card insurance so that if you lose your wallet or have it stollen, they will cancel your credit cards for you.  
Why would I willingly give all of my credit card info to strangers who are probably in another country?  Why would I want to pay someone to do something I can do for free?  They also claim that they will cover the expenses if someone uses your credit card.  Your credit card company will remove the charges if you dispute them.  Just another way to get more money out of us.  Some of them offer doing credit checks for you as well.  Why would I pay someone to do that for me when I can do it for free too?

I answered the call today and told them I wasn't interested in hopes that they will stop calling constantly.

This number calls me two or three times a day at any given time day or nite. I called it back and got a recording that it was from the Do Not Call people. Pretty weird!!!!!
