They are calling my husband also,looked up number on reverse white pages it is a private number in Surrey BC.  must be scammers they ask for your credit card number and ask for a commitment amount.   Where do we report this ??

They've called 6 times in the past 2 days, only let it ring for about 4 times and they hang up, I may pick up next time and try to get as much information as I can from them. This is extremely annoying.

I just called Veterans Affairs Canada and spoke a guy name Kye.  He said that VAC does not have charities that collect on behalf of Veterans and that if they did, it would be a Legion, but they do not call people and ask for donations.    As this was an Atlantic office, he said he would notify the VAC office in Vancouver about this.   I also provided him with the number that showed up.   If anyone gets these calls, please report them to VAC at 1-866-522-2122.  Just press "1" and then "1" again to speak to an agent.   Also give them the number that is appearing on their call display.  
The concern he had is what if these loosers are calling the elderly and they do not think anyone will scam them and as their sibling or spouse was a Veteran, then they will donate money to support the "cause".

They call all the time, I just tried to call them back and a recording comes on to say they are unavailable, but please leave your name, phone number and we will return your call.   If this is a company collecting on behalf of Veterans, they need to id themselves.   I would contact Veterans Affairs and see if they do in fact solicit calls or have people who call on behalf of Veterans to raise money.   You might also want to try the Legion.
Moreover, in Canada, Veterans get money...they get a certain amount of money for housekeeping, gardening and food.   Why would someone call to collect money for them when they already get benefits from the Federal gov?

I received a call on my telephone today Tuesday, February 15 from 604-484-2016. There was no message left and I googled the number to see who it was. Seems it is a fraud type call that I avoided.

Received a call yesterday and was asked to advertise in the BC/Yukon Legion Command book, I was concerned and checked out this site and called the Legion, they did confirm the book promotion but could not add any info after that about the caller or company. Hopefully I get my receipt and what I paid for!

Received a call from 604-484-2016 ten minutes ago.  Asking to talk to my husband, by name.  Asked his name told it is Jim Cooper.  Do not know anyone of that name.  He was would not give me any information and frankly I felt he is a fraud.  Just a deep feeling that there was something not quite right about the call.  If he calls back I will tell him not to call back.

Who is this that keeps calling my cell and leaves no message?

The same number called me asking me to donate to a Veterans association. I am pretty sure its fraud.

This guy called me and said he was part of a group collecting money for the Veterans. When I asked him for a phone number to call, he wouldn't tell me. He didn't act like regular telephone charities. He told me how much I should donate. I didn't give him any money, but was able to get his number through the call display. I'm pretty sure the guy is a fraud. I'm reporting it to the phonebusters.com tomorrow.

I've started receiving calls from them too - is there a way to block them? they call on my cell!

604-484-2016 call relentlesly. They say they are calling on a community matter.  They want to speak with my husband.  They will not reveal who they are or what charity they are calling on behalf of, only that they want to thank my husband personally.  When you ask them to stop calling they continue.  When you ask too may questions they hang up on you.

called it back, it goes direct to a voice message. I'm sure it's a collection agency.
