These are all scams!!! They harass and cause you issues plus lets be real its soooo annoying! I work for a company that as an a+ rating by the bbb and can easily help you stop the calls and hopefully stop these people from taking money from innocent people... They ONLY way you can be MADE to pay ANYTHING is you would have to rec a SUBPOENA (you would have to sign for it) and appear in court and have a judge TELL you that you have to pay it. I was receiving calls from this company back in September of 2011.  Probably 15-20 calls in two weeks.  I sent them a letter requesting documentation for this alleged debt.  Never received the documentation but they kept calling threatening wage garnishment.  Finally they stopped calling and then yesterday on January 8, 2013 I get a call from them again this time threatening wage assignment.  I am sending them another letter.

I started receiving calls last week from a mr robert lawrence When I spoke with him he told me I had taken a loan  out in june 2011 and never paid it back. I told him I never took a loan out from a easy quick loan company and  I would look into it. He told me   I could settle for original amt of 300 or end up paying over 700 in late fees and interest. I told him would look into and call back. When I called back  next day I asked for ext 244 and got a mr robert garza. I told him never took loan out and never received notification by mail from company and asked why.  He told me I must have thrown out as if were junk mail. WRONG. He threatened me  with wage assignments suspending my drivers license. I told him hes a scam and.hope he gets caught.

Just recieved a call from them saying i had a pay day loan taken out on or around dec 26 2011.  I knowing that i didnt have played her little game. I asked her for proof of debt and she said she would email it to me. I told her i want it sent via mail. She explained i didnt have time for the mail since it was deliquint. I told her i not admitting to any debt till proof of owner ship was proved. I then asked for her address and company name and she gave me this. Payday loan recovery PO Box 2 Aurora, Il 60505.  Scary thing is she had ally info bank acct number etc. Thank god for idenity lock.

I received a call today from company called pdl.they told me I owed them 300.00 dollars from an old pay day loan.told me if I didn't.t pay them now.I would have to go to court and owe them 900.00
Please now this is big scam.they actually got my social security number and email ....Watch out.

It drops off your credit file after 7 years (bankruptcy drops off after 10.)  I'll bet the statute of limitations on pay day loans is a lot less than 7 years in most, if not all states.

I received a call today from a Ms. Cruz (I think that's what she said) she said that I had defaulted on a payday loan and that she would be garnishing my wages. I told her that she has to get a court order to do so. She said you took out a loan, you didn't pay it back, I do not have to get a court order. I told  her once again that she would have to get a court order and that I have already spoken to Human Resources at my place of employment. She said to me "Ma'am, I have been collecting debt for many years and I am here to tell you we do not need a court order for garnishment." I said to her "Actually Ma'am I've been owing debt for many years and you so have to have a court order." She hung up. Just so everyone knows, when you owe a debt they have to have a court order to first sue you, than they have to obtain another one to garnish you. They cannot press charges, suspend your license, or arrest you. Payday loans are not considered "bad checks, or check fraud" because the company knew you didn't have money in the acct at the time the loan was made. So do not let them bully you. Also, depending on where you live, these drop off your credit after 7-10 years, but if you owe someone money and the debt is 4 years old and you make any payments on it, it will start your 7-10 year wait over again.

I got a call today about a pay-day loan we never got, When talking with this sweet lady on the phone I told her I would get my bank statments to prove we never got a loan and she said that it was not legal? Really now, she then stated that anyone can make up bank statements ( really) I am going to call her back in about an hour told her I have spoken to my lawyer and the State and Local Police and If I receive any more calls about this matter I am pressing charges, I have read post after post and I feel bad for all who are going thur this, but its also nice to know I am not the only one.. They wont send you any papers on this matter so thats a red flag right there its a scam, Who are these people,? I would love to call them at home or work and make threats to go after them for money, I bet they would love that. NOT..

I just got call from 630-486-4300  telling me to call 1-877-601-5871 ext 231  I have a possible wage garnishment, I almost called back tell I seen these notes, I used to get calls all the time but they spoke a thick indian accent, this girl spoke very good english and it scared me, glad I looked

these jokas keep calling me at work!! I don't know who in the hell they are!! I started to ask questions but found it rather exhausting. Told them to stop calling me. Threatened to have my DL suspended and contact my manager!  Really!.. I explained the American version of harrassment and how it works here!  She actually said "American laws don't apply to me"! Ha..ha..ha.ha.. ha..ha.!!

I just received a call at work from a person stating she was for recovery services and that I have a defaulted payday loan.  These people are a real joke and I can't believe that they call people at work.  I hung up on her told her she had the wrong person.  We need to turn these people in.  If we have bad loans I'm sure the pay day loan place would handle it professionally no with threathing phone calls and day after day

Wow. So glad I am not alone! This lady, Ms West, I believe was her name, just called and left a lovely message stating that they would revoke my drivers license? LOL! They are unable to do that, first off. And secondly, when I called her back and asked for a written letter from her company about this supposed debt, I got put on eternal hold. Oh, and they also threatened me with wage garnishment also. Hilarious that they think people are that stupid!!! Total scam..no doubt.

They stopped calling for a while but they started up again a couple minutes ago. stating that this is different then a wage garnishment and it doesn't have to go through the courts system. I told her to send me the information but she said that it can only be mailed not emailed. I told her that was fine, we'll see if I get anything in the mail over the next couple days. She told me it had to be handled today or else, well lets see what happens because everyone I owe money to says that they have not give my information for collection or garnishment to anyone.

They called me and thrented to garnish my wages if i dont pay 298.00 today this is a huge scam dont believe them

I decided to try to call "Miss Gilmore" back - gave her extension # and when she answered I told her my name and that I had a message from her - she asked me to hold on while she "pulled my account."  I was on hold for SEVERAL minutes, so I hung up!  Also . . . I had her on speaker - she could probably tell that - I think she had no intention of coming back on the line in case I was recording her - which is something my atty. has suggested in these situations!

Same song and dance - called my office - I let it go to voice mail - have a message from "Miss Gilmore" and that it's "regarding an account that's been placed in their office for processing through my employer."  BS!!!  They can't "process thru employer" without filing suit, going to court, and thru normal garnishment procedures.  AND . . . it is against the Fair Credit Act or whatever it's called to THREATEN legal action, etc. - these would be CIVIL matters!!!

Hey - I have gotten the EXACT same thing done to me. I jsut got off the phone with the attorney generals office, and they said do not talk to these people anymore, and that most likely its a scam. They also told me that the are legally supposed to send you something in the mail before they can do this. What else (if you don't mind me asking) havve you done about your situation regarding this or what else have these people done ?

I have had 2 phone calls from this number in the last 2 weeks in referance to a suppposed payday loan that I did. The first voicemail I got two weeks ago said if I wanted to settle this matter voluntarily, I needed to call back and set up payment arrangements, otherwise my wages would be garnished. The second voicemail I received yesterday stated that if I wanted to resolve this matter volintarily, I needed to call back and make payment arrangements. Otherwise, my license would be suspended and they would garnish my wages. I cannot remember the first person I talked to, but the 2nd message was from a "Tina West" . The number showed up on my phone as 630 486 1900  , but the number they tell me to call back on is 877 601 5871 , and they give me an extension number. I left a messsage last night and this morning. I have not received a return call yet. Legally, can they garnish my wages and suspend my llicense ? I am scared out of my witts. I am a singel mother and do not need this.

I received a phone call today by a man named Michael Clark. He called me from 630-486-1900 but told me to call back on 877-601-5871 ext. 229. He was very convincing but I have received so many fake calls in past months, the first thing I did was google. I'm so glad I researched the number.

I had the same issue. This is a scam the next time she callsme I am going to have some choice words for them. They are selling your information when you apply online and these people are preying on innocent people. Someone has to put a stop to this.

They started by calling my work and now are calling my home. I informed them via a voice mail that I did not owe any money to any payday loan operation, informed them that I work as an investigator and that I would be reporting these calls.

I told them to send me something in writing and they told me no, they didn't have to I just needed to pay this outstanding payday loan or they would garnish my wages.I have been harrassed by these companies not going on 2 1/2 years.

someone called from this number claiming they were going to garnish my pay and suspend my license, the guy then would not give me a mailing address or account number but was trying to verify all my personal information. They claimed they were from a pay day loan company...funny thing is i have never taken a pay day loan, they even refused to give the mailing address of the company due to what happened in colorado.

They have been calling me for almost a year.So I was thinking everyone on fb should call them and leave them random voicemails...be creative! PLEASE share this number with as many people as you can. Additionally, when you request verification of the debt, by law they have to send it to you.  I'm on the phone with them right now and they are refusing to fax anything but will email it to me.  I let Ms. Weber know that she is in violation because once a debtor requests verification, no matter what the form, they have to supply.

You'll never get anything in writing because they know that if they send it to you, they can be sued for violating FDCPA laws and scammers don't set themselves up like that.

SHE PROBABLY WANTED A GREEN DOT CARD FROM WALMART  PAYMENT PLAN WOULD REVEIL THEIR ADDRESS AND SERVE AS PROOF OF PAYMENT, THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT TO AVOID
