paying to premium readers club for 2 yrs. and getting bills for magazines to. coquitlam office somewhere. trying to cancel contract.

I tried to cancel and they would not have it. I'm worried about being sent to collections. Have u received collection calls??

I had gotten a call from them asking questions, they sent me some magazines.... as soon as i got the magazines I sent them back & when they called to do the follow up questions i said I was no longer interested..... the person said ok as long as you sent the magazines back your fine & wont owe us any money, every single day at least 5 times a day I get calls from them, ive sent them the invoice for when I sent the magazines back...... any help would be greatly appreciated ..

If you under 18 years of age - you can have the agreement / contract cancelled you are not legally bound as you are not at a legal age to enter into any contract - or if you were under 18 years old when the agreement / contract was completed.  Unfortunately if you are 18 or older,  don't have any suggestions for you

I know all contracts are for 4 years, with a very ELITE amount of 2 year contracts.  PRC (Premium Readers Club) Nor - Pac Marketing or Cap Ron is barely surviving.  Most of the employees left, or were laid off.  There is only 4 employees running the business, 1 Manager, 1 Supervisor and 2 Collectors.  When the office moved from New Westminster to Coquitlam, the contracts were moved, but are currently (to the best of my knowledge) still sitting in boxes. It is not surprising all of you who have asked of copies of your contracts to not have received them, this would also be the same for the recorded tapes of the verifies.  This company does not use a professional skip trace crew it is done by the 2 Collectors.  The only possible way to have received your Bank Account information or your Credit Card information is by yourselves or someone giving our your personal information, TRUST me they are NOT good enough to source this information themselves.   I wasn't aware that they were using any 3rd party collections, i know it costs money and the  Company is losing money, actually barely surviving at this point.

Has anyone has AnYTHINg resolved with this company? I have attempted to cancel 3 times. They have NO contract and are telling me I had a 4 yr contract with them and they are saying they pre pay for the magazines and therefore can't cancel. I am looking for what the next step should be? They sent it to collections and somehow they got my business credit card number and took $$ without any indication!?! I don't want these stupid magazines. I requested my taped call and so far nothing

I have been dealing with this company for the past year or so, when i receieved my gift in the mail along with a subscription form i called them. They told me that if i wrote cancel across the page within a ten day period that they would cancel it...... they didnt. A few months went by and more magazine kept arriving so i called them and they told me i cannot cancel the account due to not faxing the paperwork in time, like wtf? I then realized that they got my bank info and started taking the monthly payment out of my account, but i didnt give them authorization to do so and did not give them my bank info, how the hell they got it is behond me. I went to he bank and they told me that they were doing an illegal three party sale and cancelled his bank so the monthly payment couldnt be taken out. My bank tried to do an investagation but they came back empty handed and told me that i had no choice other than to pay my remaining balance. like i said though i didnt give them any of my info so this company is a bunch scammers. They will find out everything about you and your personal infornation.My bank called them back again and was told that there was no such thing of writting cancelled arcoss the page to cancel it and then told him that they only have my info but no record of me trying to cancel it......

I'm having the exact same problem...... but I sent the package back as soon as I got it & the 2nd time they called to do the follow up I told them I changed my mind & don't want it since I don't have money to be paying for these magazines...... I'm STILL GETTING THE FRICKEN MAGAZINES!!!!!! SOO FRUSTRATING

I got a telemarketing call from this Premium Readers/ Nor Pac  604-636-8001 2 years ago and did sign up for a 2 year contract that i was told I can get out of at any time, then I found out I was locked into it according to them. Now after the two years is up I called them and when they called back from this number 604-636-8001 the woman said I signed up for a 4 year contract which I know I did not. I felt pressured and lied to and regreted ever signing up and now this after two years. I am going to my bank in the morning and stopping any more payments. I have excellent credit and am risking a problem there, but this is really unfair and this company is obviously playing games and ripping people off. If they want to take me to court so be it, maybe that would expose there dirty tricks.

I am also affected by this company. Initially they were saying it is 2 yr contract, it is about to end for me this year, now they are saying it is 4 year contract. I am assessing my options now. I am planning to cancel my credit card and get new one. And planning to face them in collection process, may be I need to consult a lawyer or I need to check with Credit card company whether they can help on this.

hi i got this call from these guys a few months ago saying i can help out by answering a few questions and ill get a free gift, a few magazines will be sent to me if i dont like them i can send them  back. sounds good right?? well i just got a new advantage card from my bank a few weeks before and all they said they needed was a credit card on file. so stupid me i gave it to them. ive been charged monthly for more magazines that i dont want. and ii cancelled my account at my bank because i obiousley dont want to be paying for something i dont want i asked the bank employees how to get rid of them they said to call them. eveytime i try calling its an anwsering machine. so now i got a letter in the mail saying i have ignored severel request of payments... so i gotta pay $890.18 or else they will be going to the credit agency and get them involved.... i dont have $890.18 im just a teen im still in school, i dont have a job and im 4 months pregnant... i have no idea on how to fix this...

I am having the same issue I was told it was for 1 year that is why I did it and now the lady on the phone is telling me that it is a 4 year contract. I asked how I can get it cancelled she told me I had to pay out the contract that is remaining I told her that is insane they wanted 300.00. I asked for the contract to be sent to me... I am waiting now and if I get the contract and it is not signed I will ask for a copy of the tape if that is not given to me I will refuse to pay them. THis is insane... PLEASE TELL HOW YOU GOT RID OF THEM!!!!!!

Ok I am also having a simliar problem. They told me over the phone it was for a year no i'm getting an invoice that it is four years!!! I called to cancel and the woman over the phone states its canadian law i had 10 days to decide. I do not want these stupid magizines anymore!!! Have they sent you to collections Christen yet since removing them from your credit card? I really want to end this stupidity and have no help of course from the company!!!

They keep calling my number and asking for Jody.  WTF?

Hello, I've had the EXACT same problem. ! 1 year in my contract I wanted to cancel but they told me I couldn't because of the contract and the lady over the phone told me I was halfway through my contract and when I asked her how long I had left to pay she said a year!!! then a year later passed and it should have been over, i recieved letter saying that because of the HST increase I would be paying more and I still have 24 payments left!!! I was shocked, called them and they told me of course that I had agreed to a 4 year contract ( WHO AGREES TO 4 YEARS?! NO1!) They will be recieving a phonecall from me tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

these guys called me and told me about this great deal and that it was a two year contract but now that it is over two years and they are still taking money from my credit card.  I called them and they said that it was a four year contract. I said I didn't agree to that and to send me the contract. The contract of course did not have my signature on it so I asked for a copy of the recording.....so far no tape???
I called the credit card company and took them off.  Yet they have not sent it to creditors....why is this?
