I just saw my phone bill and each of my return calls to this number to try to find out who was harassing me and there are $ 5 charges for calling this number even though it is listed as local!

This number called me 4 times today.  On the other end was a woman with a strong asian accent.  I could tell it was a call centre by the noise in the background. I am very annoyed.  I hope there is legislation to stop this nonsense

Got 5 calls in three days.  We have call display so we don't answer because we don't know who it is...  Must be a way to stop annoying calls like this.

I'm getting calls from this number quite regularly - they never leave a message.  We don't answer - it's from BC....

Instead of just allowing us to vent on this site about this number,
IS THERE ANYTHING we as consumers can do to block out this caller?

Please provide instructions or whom we need to contact to report this nuisance call.

Call blocking will stop the calls.  Check with your telephone service provider to enable this option.

I am also getting phone calls from this phone number. No message is left.

it's fundraising company - calling on behalf of some non-profit association.
when I called back the number, it said that you can remove your name from the list by leaving your name/phone number. I did this, and they still called me!!

I receive calls from 604-637-8801 every day.  There is no one there when I pick up and they don't leave a message.  It is incredibly annoying to run to the phone for this nonsense.

The Vancouver number for Strategic Communications, http://www.stratcom.ca.  Telemarketer working for nonprofit organizations.  They don't seem to have an automated system to remove phone numbers from their registry, and I get calls from both offices now.  I live in Toronto, and the calls from the Vancouver office sometimes come in very late at night.  I will answer next time they call to find out who hired them, and immediately halt all donations to that organization.

Got a call at 9:22 PM while getting ready for bed. Left no message.

Call the number back and press 1 for english...leave message requesting your number is removed from their database. Do NOT leave your name, only your number and request for removal. As mentioned earlier, it's supposedly a marketing firm soliciting for supposedly non-profit organizations.  Now, what's the listing for the do not call registry??

It started happening the very evening that I booked a flight over the internet on Air Canada.  I called it back and it asked me to press "1" for English and "2" for French but didn't provide a name for the company so I just hung up.

Yes - the person breathed on one message left.  But I have received at least 30 calls, and the breathing was only on one.

I also get calls from this number.  Sometimes twice a day.

This number calls every day at least once a day, never leaves a message (sometimes blank). From reading other posts it sound like someone calling to scam people - how do we report it to police? Many people are getting called but the calls are continuing!

I finally called 604-637-8801 this morning.  The automated answering machine said they were Strategic Communications and do fundraising for non profit organizations.  There was an option to have your name and phone number removed from their call list, so I went for it.  We'll soon see if it works.

my last name is Grover... got a call from this number while I was out.  I checked the message left on my voicemail... just a "click."

a women called asking for someone by the name of "Janet Grover"  funny thing is my nicname is Grover, and I told her wrong number, but thats my nick name... she said ok sorry, hung up.  Looking for info maybe?
