I just got a 3 minute phone call from this 00-604-638-0888, that number showing up in my cell phone and below the number is Malaysia, I look at the area code and I knew it was from somewhere in Canada though. I said:" Hello!" so many times and it just stayed silent within 3 minutes. Reading through from the start of this page, I can see that obviously there have been so many people got messed up , not only me..I am in Saigon, Vietnam, btw. I wonder how could he manages to make lots of long distance calls..How could he do that? does it cost him nothing? what benefit he could get from scamming like that? Finally, no one, I mean, in the telephone authority could stop him?

Oh, I remember that was the second time, not the first time. I got one call from that number a couple of days ago. Hmm..I assume the caller may be logging in this page sometime to check , reading our reportings LAUGHING OUT LOUD ! A telephone/mobile phone in Vancouver, Canada should do something to stop him.

I only heard a male voice saying something which was hard to tell after I helloed him 3 times then it got disconnected..I google and here I am..What a bummer for it's almost midnight here..Anyway, i got that number into the block list on my Blackberry.

I was sleeping last night and when I woke up this morning I called a missed call from 1-604-638-0888. They had left me a message and played this really sounding music with no words! I had the missed call 12:50 am.
Could you please tell what this is or how to stop it?

This number has called my house every day for the past 3 days.  This moringing there were a series of 4 phone calls.  The fist time it rang 3 times.  Second and third time it rang twice.  Fourth time it rang until the machine picked up, but no message.  I don't know anyone that would be calling me from that area, so was not going to answer.

Well got a resolution on this number. The company is call Times Telecom, and it is probably a friend trying to you too. It is a long distance service. My caller was my girl friend calling me. She doesn't call me much on this service. But glad I answered...

4 calls in a row from this number, annoying!

I have got calls from this number every day in the past two weeks. Actually, I do not know anybody in that area (Vancouver in Canada). I totally have no ideas who is calling me.
I once answered the phone twice. But nobody was speaking at the other end in both times.
I also got several messages following some of the calls. There was a man speaking "how are you doing?" or "what are you doing?". But I cannot recognize who that is.
It is so weird and annoying! Who can stop them for me? Thanks.

I almost find it amusing how many people still post asking what that number is when an answer has already been provided.

Like what Mark from Tacoma said above, that number is for Times Telecom, a long-distance service, for their Vancouver access number. It basically works like a calling card.

If you don't know anyone from BC, relax, it's probably someone dialling a wrong number.

If it continues, just contact your phone provider and have them block that number. Simple fix with no more stress.

I just got a phone call from this number and I didn't answer and got no message. I googled the  number and was surprised of other people getting the same problem. I called the number from my skype out account. It answer right away asked for a authorization code, and then stated please contact your customer account representative.

And this guy keeps calling me.

I did not pick it up. Don't know anyone from BC. How did he get me cell #? I am in Toronto.
