I too recieved a call from "Amber".....on the 18 of Feb saying the same stuff "hookupin canada" exc.... I have done some investigating and I am 99.9 % sure the calls are originating from the Dominion Hotel on Abott Street in Vancouver. This place is a crack w***e infested dump by my own wittness of it.... Another thing to note is that the people listed by the people using this site, namely the victums, is that the "Amber, Laura and Alicia" are the actual names of some of the low life prostitutes that live in this Big crack house. Other investigating has revealed, by the tenents at the hotel, that one or more of the Amber. Laura and Alicia persons has addmitted to me personally that they are doing this behaviour. It is my belief that these are not random as suggested about in the case of the Boat Show, but rather a more personal contact of some sort where the individual is given or has taken the phone number and has then betryed that trust.

I'm getting disgusting texts in the middle of the night from this number. When I get up I will be investigating how to report this as harsssment.  I would like to know how my number got on the list.  Disgusted

Fido number 604-715-3294 was cancelled and discontinued in 2012.
Someone is spoofing the number as the sender.
Eyegonomic Canada is in NOT in any way involved in text spamming.

I got the same "Amber" message just a few minutes ago but from a different phone number (and reported here under that new number).   Yes this is CREEPY as hell.  Thank goodness for websites like this where I can go and check if it's spam or scam or if I'm being targeted by some creep.

My wife and both received texts from Alicia and Amber with same marketing non sense. We were at boat show on Saturday and entered a  free contest to win a boat. We are thinking that is how are phone numbers were used. Anyone with this problem at the boat show?

I also got a message at around 10:15 am this morning. applied with a text "Do not bother me again" but didn't go through. The system shows "Unable to send message to 604-715-3294". Maybe we should call FIDO to file a complain!

got same message from Amber at 4:30 in the morning . what is all the reporting do for me if nothing is done about it and hard working people get woken up by this scum of the earth with their filthy dribble.  Really really ticks me off.

Evan emailed me and I replied and explained it is no longer my number, it was cancelled in 2012, someone is spoofing the number to spam sms.
I am not involved in this in any way.

That is my company, the number was cancelled with Fido last year (2012), someone is spoofing it for texting.

Absolutely ridiculous!! If anyone's knows what (if anything) can be done please share:-)
