this is a scamm,wants commission to sell your car,paid up front.Calls himself Dean Corso calling on behalf of acacceptance,a supposive funding co. out of Vancouver BC

This person calls stating that he works for a finance company that finances high risk people that are having a hard time getting credit. He is pretty convincing that there are a people in place to buy your vehicle and all you need to do is agree to a small fee for the sale which is not transferable until the piont of sale. This fee can be done by credit card or bank card. If you use your bank card what ever you do do not let people give you a reference number. this number lets them make the trnsaction which is unreversable. The fellow goes by the name Dean Corso and he is a very convincing person but what ever you do don't be fooled like me.

I had a worried citizen call me to follow up on this scam as well, cause this guy told the client that I was his dealer contact in Edmonton. I let the client know that DJ AUTO has no involvement with funding way, or any type of finding buyers for used cars through private clients!!! Guy said he was with Funding Way, and Acceptance Corporation. THIS IS A SCAM... we are not affiliated with these companies or individuals. Number he called from. 604-723-1082 Name he used was William Archer  Even told the client to send the money to "DJ AUTO" wire transfer, but of course used BOGUS Bank info that was not our actual info!

Just got a call from 604-723-1082 by a guy named Richard Wilshire.
Sounds like the same story as above.
He was going to get back to me with the name of the dealership to complete the email transfer with.
I'm guessing I don't hear back from him.

This guy called and said he was william archer from credit acceptance corp. He said they are locators and have pre-approved buyers to buy my car. He wanted to secure his fee by interac email money transfer. He said that money is held until car is sold. He said the money to be emailed to a car dealership not a person. I called the dealerships that he gave me and none are involved in selling cars this way. Report these calls to RCMP and Phonebusters at 1-888-495-8896.

is there anything a person can do if you are dumb enough to fall for it?

Received a call from "Dean" on Monday and today.  He is a locator for AutoGallery of Winnipeg and also fundingway.ca and idrive.ca.  Have to give him money upfront or interac bank transfer.  There are more posts under 604-780-7594 with the same stories. When I called the 604-723-1082 number to follow-up, I just got voice mail and told them to stop calling.  Also had two calls from other "locators" both of which were scams.
