I get at least one call a day from this number. I never pick up and they never leave a message, but I am very annoyed that they keep calling back and that I have to delete their non-calls from my answering machine!

They have been calling me at least daily for several weeks, they never leave a message. I've just blocked them as everyone else is reporting this as a scam caller.

i just did a *60 as i am with shaw and blocked the number. i think it has to be the very last number on your phone in order to do this. so do it right after they have called. hopefully this will work. not sure if not with shaw how to block them but your telephone provider should know. i agree it is harassment and an invasion of privacy too as far as i am concerned. i pay for the phone service and shouldn't have to tolerate abuse of it by others. there are other ways to raise funds for organizations. never give credit card or bank info over the phone. that's a given as far as i am concerned.

if i don't recognize a number i don't pick up the phone. i then google the number and hopefully get some info. an answering machine is my favourite toy. these companies will not leave a message. we need to be vigilant in how we handle our calls and our privacy. its called phone empowerment.

It is Sept.2013, and I have been getting calls (5-6) in the last few days from 1-604-998-4002, and I couldn't think where they were coming from. I don't answer, but am getting annoyed. I am on the "do not call list" so am going to make sure that they will do something. This is an issue as I'm disabled and don't always have the phone beside me, and I have a grandson who works all across Canada.

They pretend to be collecting for a charity to get your credit card info, I think.

Since my earlier post, they are now calling up to 18x per day.  I called the number and their message says to leave your name and # if you wish to be removed from their list.  The message keeps replaying and there is no way to leave a message!  This is seriously messed up and I am beyond pissed off.  They just called at 9pm and woke up my young child.  I have blocked the # thru my Panasonic phone but unfortunately, my phone still rings once before blocking it.  I have had to turn my ringer off.  I am going to call my service provider to see if they can block the number.  This is HARRASSMENT.

They called two week straight all the same time at around 12:00pm in BC. Holy SHITE! Tell them to stop, I think they also gave my number to other telemarketers. I called it back once and it mentioned they were some Marketing company...

We are IN British Columbia - getting calls several times a day - we dont pick up numbers we dont know, and there is never a message. I think I am going to get a call block service and add them in!

These idiots called 14x today!  F***k OFF!

I've been called from this number two days in a row so far. I did not answer and no one left a message.

They're contracted by charities/pol. parties to do fundraising. If you call back they say they'll remove you but might take a couple days.

Got a call from 1-604-998-4002, and a man asked for me by name. I replied "speaking", and then the line went dead.

They wanted me to send $5 - $10.00 each month to the Heart and Stroke Fund.  I told them NO.

She said that she would phone back after I talked to my husband.

They called 3 times last night.  Very annoying.  If they claim to be a charity they are exempt form the Do Not Call List.  Someone in authority needs to look into this.  They are obviously scammers.  All you have to do is read the prior postings to see that.

This number has called twice a day every day for the last month or more.  Any suggestions as to how to get this to stop?

We got a call from this number 1-604-998-4002.  They are now claiming to be the David Suzuki foundation.  The caller said her name was Aggie and sounded like somebody's Grandma, very trustworthy, calm voice, principled and persuasive - great act.  She knew my home address, knew a bit about my online activity and almost got me to provide her w/ my credit card info but I hesitated and asked her to provide me a number that I could call her back.  I told her that I didn't feel  comfortable providing my credit card info on the phone.   She then basically said, Look I know so much about you, didn't I just list it all out for you? How could you think I would be anything other than the David Suzuki foundation?    In any case I insisted and she provided me w/ another number - 18776385111.  I checked out that number - not associated w/ the foundation.  She called back fifteen minutes later and asked if I had made my donation yet.  I told her I checked out the foundation website, and dialed the number on the foundation website and made my donation.  She said thank you very much and hung up immediately.

SCAM  do not call them back. Complain to the CRTC. There is no "strategic communications" it is a scam.

Spam call. Very frustrating. Why can't the government do something about these parasites endlessly annoying people?

I did what I usually do with numbers we don't recognize--let them call twice to give them a chance to leave a message (which they'll always do if it's a legit call). If they don't leave a message, we add the the number to our call block list. They called today for the third time (after calling once, two days in a row, and hanging up) and the call was blocked, and will continue to be blocked!!!

I just got a call from this number.  I heard voices in the background, but no one said anything to me and then they hung up.  It shows up as "British Columbia, Canada" on my caller ID.
