I work at a tmone as well. We do centurylink inbound and outbound sales and customer services...I can tell you at our center we do nor leave messages on someone phone we never have talked with. If we are doing outbound and there is np answer we simply do not leave a message! So whom ever this was may not have been doinv their job correctly or may have been trying to scam you. When wr do outbound we do attempt to market other products but we also apply "loyalty discounts to those who are eligiable for them. I'm sorry this happend to tou unfortunately. There are a lot of outsourced reps and reps that do not do their job correctly.if I'm doing outbound calling and someone is truly not confertablr varifying their acct with me I simply let them know to call the centurylink customer setvice number and inform rgem they recived a call and to ask if they are eligible for any discounts. I wish oyr out ound nunbet was the same as our inbound but its not which causrd suspissions to customers when we do do outbound calling. Not evertone who works in a call center is as rude as tge gentalmen you spoke with.

I work for a vendor as well. TMONE is horrible we have calls all day mostly fixing the issues they cause. They misquote customers, lie, change things without customers permission or don't change them correctly when they do have permission. The person posting on behave of TMONE has to be one of the reps. I am a rep... Not for TMONE thank god, I deal with the issues from them everyday an it is mind blowing to see how they are still in business. But... Just to clear things up for everyone.
1) you call AT&T , whether you have a renewal letter, you have an incorrect bill or an issue the business office is working on , if you say you want to cancel or are looking for another provider they get you to retention. We do the best we can with the rates we have to offer in retention. Fact: 90% or more retention or sales offices for AT&T are vendors. It costs a lot to run and maintain call centers so AT&T contracts them out to the vendors that already have call centers up an running, we do our best to help and we all have professional openings, closings, disclosures and privacy statements we have to say.
2) TMONE is a vendor, they seem to have a hard time with retention customers. I don't know who is posting on behalf them but I wouldn't want to work for a company or be proud to work for a company that has a rep talking like that and bad mouthing customers. We all have a job to do: when you, an AT&T cust calls me, I am on your time an I am here to help you, idc what you call me or complain about, it's my job and I don't say negative things about my customers. I have regular customers that call me every month some to talk some to change service and some to work out issues we value our customers and so does AT&T. Some customers are difficult but I don't know what that customer has going on his or her plate and not my job to judge, it's my job to help.
3) we have an outbound diaper. A lot of customers numbers are put in that dialer and whether we have the info or not we have to validate every account whether it is inbound or outbound to make any changes. It is federal law to verify and have the approval of the decision maker on the account.
I don't know who that TMoNE rep is posting here but it is inappropriate. I work for another vendor and I would be embarrassed to see someone post that with my company's name. So on behalf of my facility I apologize for that behavior and again I am merely a rep. But we do value our customers and so does AT&T so thank you all the AT&T customers. I have a 3 ur old. Without you I wouldn't have a job. (I also have AT&T wireless) I am a customer and an employee and that is not needed TMONE

The woman who I called on the number on my card answered the phone AT&T. So how are you not claiming to be At&t? Why don't you just answer the phone TM One then if you aren't claiming to be them? You are trying to SCAM people. You are sick! I hope Karma gets you! Even the woman who called me this morning at 8am said she was with at&t. You are nothing but liars! I hope something horrible happens to you and your company!

THIS IS A SCAM...This company called me at 8am claiming to be at&t. They are  NOT AT&T. First off, about a week ago I got a card in the mail claiming to be from at&t with at&t's logo which was a gift card for $10.00 for amazon but you have to call to collect the gift card. It said:...In celebration of small business week, we're excited and humbled to honor your hard work and accomplishments. And don't think for a second we didn't notice. That's why we look for ways we can help you do what you do even better...blah blah. And as our way of recognizing all you've already achieved, we're pleased to reward you with a $10 amazon gift card. Simply call 1-877-783-9694. Ok, so I thought right away that if it was really from at&t that they would have just sent me a giftcard instead of me having to call for it so I knew it was a scam but I called the number anyways just to make sure. The lady on the end answered "at&t". She told me she was with at&t but I told her I needed to contact at&t to be sure she wasn't a scam artist before i gave her any info which i did and at&t said they never sent me a letter and they aren't giving away gift cards and that yes, it is a scam and they are a third party that are contracted with at&t to solicit me. if i were to give out any info to them they could charge money on my account. i was pissed that at&t gives out my personal information to third parties and didn't even tell me. anyways, they put a block on the third parties from charging to my account just in case it happens but there is nothing they can do about selling my info i guess. so i call this company back claiming to be at&t and i tell them that they are NOT AT&T and tell her what at&t did say to me and then she told me her company name which is TM1 COMPANY or TM ONE. Anyways, she woke me up at 8am! She told me she would take me off her list for the second time. We will see! I am going to report them to everything I can think of. BBB, Attorney general, everyone! THIS IS A SCAM!

The lower rate claim by other companies  is just to get you on board , (they will be raised )since they know people do not like changing companies or plans and will most likely stay with them ( very small percentage ) and that's all they are looking for a piece of the pie.

If there is a "Tmone" and it is an AT&T representative, I wonder why every posting on behalf of this company is insulting, nasty, and profane?   I cannot imagine that AT&T would sanction or tolerate this.  And if the company is a legitimate AT&T rep:  Why would anyone want to do business with such an unprofessional group of people, that has such contempt for the public?  Furthermore, the message left on my phone did not say anything about offering me any savings; the message only stated that the person was calling "on behalf of AT&T about your plan" and that it was essential that I get back to him TODAY.  Right.

I don't know how to prevent the calls, but I did contact AT&T and they can block slammers (any third-party billing) from posting to your AT&T account - that will include the people who claim to give you some web service, reduce your phone bill, etc. AT&T wants to keep your business so they'll take care of you. But keep an eye on AT&T too. Check all bills carefully!!

TMone -- you are right in a lot of what you say, but probably what you don't understand is that 1) people are very justifiably annoyed that TMone calls regularly (probably not you but TMone robot) despite explicit requests to stop. 2) frequently, there is dead air on the call -- I stop what I am doing, pick up my phone and, um, why? This dropped call does not waste TMone Robot's time, but it does waste my human time, the time in which I am working on my livelihood, yes?

Scammers may well be an inaccurate term, but there is a definite lack of candor, that rubs people the wrong way. Having your automatic dialer hit people again and again, and hiding to prevent people from complaining or attempting to stop it is not acceptable, and your company should address this if you want business.

Just to state a fact.  Call your local cellphone company if your with verizon and ask them if they are directly employed by them.  95% of the agents will tell you that they work for a different company.  your right we call you.  We call you to help you out.  We dont care if you pay 70 or 700 on your bill.  you can degrade us all you want and call us the scammer but hell your the one losing on a deal that can save you money.   Go ahead and pay 200 dollars on a bill that you could be paying 150.  I could not give a rats a** on what you want to do.  My job is to give you that choice and I get paid regardless of if you take the deal or not.  So before you call us scammers and think negatively of us.  think of this 150 or 200.  Easy choice to me but as business owners i guess you have that extra money to spend on phone bill

I do work with this company and our company is called TMone and we are employed by TMone not att.  Our company is contracted by ATT so therefor we are not att.  We never claim that we are att.  We say we are calling on behalf of att.

Most companies now days use vendors.  ATT has so many vendors out there that its impossible to tell who works for the company directly or not.  Just to tell you that 99.9 percent of the inbound call centers you will call are vendors.  Some are allowed to say they are att some are not.

These people called to "renew my services with AT&T".  I asked the gentleman on the line to please pull up my account with AT&T.  To which he responded "I don't have access to that without your permission".  I said "But you said you are with AT&T?"  and he said "I did say that".. then I said "so wouldn't that stand to reason that you have access to my account?" and he said "I see that you have a password and security question on your account that I can't get past".. and I said "thats to prevent people who are NOT AT&T from getting ahold of my account.  Only ATT has access to that information, and since you clearly don't, I don't believe you work for them."  To which he replied "I'm just trying to save you some money on your expired AT&T plans"... to which I said "It's funny that you say that since less than 90 days ago I contacted AT&T and renewed my plans and services for the next 24 months.  You really don't work for AT&T or you would know this."  and he said "you are correct ma'am, I am not actually working for AT&T. Have a nice day." and then he hung up.  So all you lying a***oles out there who claim is is an ATT number,. SHAME ON YOU.  This is CLEARLY not an AT&T number.  So stop the SCAMMING and just admit you are an OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR.  How fricken hard is it to not lie to your potential customers?
