Ditto on everything that has already been said.  This person obviously has our data - I did a screen capture on my cell phone so that I have proof for the police if they need it.  2:56 on November 20th.  What a loser!  Buy a shredder and change ALL your passwords.  Good luck!

Hey I got the same deal as you, only they told me to find them at textiegirly98 on Yahoo messenger.

I got a text from this person, they wanted me to find them on yahoo, who the hell is this person, they knew my name!

Got a text today from this person and  told me to add them that their phone was dying

I just received a text from that number. It was almost like the sender knew me. Creepy. I didn't give out any information.

So, the cops have the number on file.
Since the call was creepy, but not malicious or threatening, this isn't exactly a "high priority" kind of thing, and they can't put any sort of rush on tracing the number. It's most likely from an automated messaging system hooked up to a mobile computer, wih access to our phone numbers.
I mean, how many of us have our names and cell numbers on facebook or somewhere else on the internet, right?
So, if you do have yahoo messenger, DO NOT add this name/number/person. It is most likely some sort of phising scam to obtain data.
Monitor email/facebook/bank accounts, change passwords, and do not interact with this number.

If the cops end up tracing the source of the number, I'll let you all know.

That's funny, I got the same thing just now too.  Please update with what the police says.  I will be changing my passwords now.

I just recieved a text from this number. I asked them who they were and they laughed and replyed that if I wanted to know who they were, I had to add them on Yahoo Messenger. Their ID is txtwoman58.
I am currently calling the cops and filing harassment charges.
Change all your passwords, and if you have any sort of Instant Messenger, delete it.

I received a text from an unknown phone number who knew my name, obviously my phone number and used a very deceptive familiar greeting with me, like they were a friend. I find it creepy and would like to report this person or persons. The # is 605 609-5414

I got a text from this 605 609-5414 also and they knew my name and it is not spelled in the traditional fashion but they spelled it correctly which makes me believe they have been privy to my personal info and addressed me an a very familiar way, like a friend would. Where do I report this # to?

i would like to report this number because whom ever this is they texted my 13 year daughter and i want to make sure that they don't text her again. Also for her safety to make sure nothing bad happens to her.

This is a data phishing scam, please do not give info of any kind to. Change your FB, email etc passwords. Watch your credit and bank acct

I received a text message from 605-609-5414 about 20 hours ago. The person knew my name! He wanted me to talk to him on yahoo messenger. I haven't heard anything else out of him.
