this number is for wells fargo.  i got about 5 calls within a 5hr span to 4 different numbers.  that's 20 calls in 5 hrs. here's my story.  i made a partial payment (which i later found out their systems don't recognize) and told them the first time they called i would pay the rest in a few days.  they continued to call even after i had paid the full amount (because their systems didn't recognized my 2 partial payments) and of course they never left a message.  their goal is to get you to pay right then by hounding you with a thousands phone calls.

You people are idiots.  The reason Wells Fargo is calling you is because you have trash credit and no cash to purchase things, so you had to go to some crappy mass produced furniture store and finance a couch at 19% interest.  They're calling you to help you get all your other 25% department store cards consolidated to a lower rate.  It may not be 0%, but with the credit you obviously have, let's get real, you're not getting any 0% cards.  So calm down, actually LISTEN to what they say and they might actually help you get out of credit hell sooner than you think.  If not, just tell them you're not interested, don't threaten them or scream, just say hey no thanks and could you take me off your calling list.

Got a call from them and they were VERY helpful!  I had done prior financing with them through a retailer and they called to offer me a new credit card and to help me consolidate my high interest debt into a lower rate and payment.  I couldn't be happier with their service and willingness to help people like me who have a suspect credit past.  If they call you, don't hang up or yell because they only want to help!  I give Wells Fargo my full confidence and two thumbs way up!

I was getting calls from this number almost every day.  I decided to answer it tonight.  A young woman indicated that she was calling from Wells Fargo, and stated that because of my history with my auto loan, they were giving me an additional line of credit in the form of a pre-approved credit card.  She read my address, and the name of my employer from her screen.  She asked if I had an additional phone number.  Then she read the first 5 digits of my SSN, and asked that I verify the last 4.  All of her information was correct, the number is in Sioux Falls, SD and I know that Wells Fargo has many offices there.  The card itself sounds like a terrible deal (it has something like a 25% APR and a yearly fee of $25, but I do not think it is a scam.

Why dont they leave a message? Most telemarkers are all too happy to hear from you.

I got a call from 605-782-5252 and told the rep to send me info since I was skeptic.  I called all around Wells Fargo and was directed to Wells Fargo Financial credit cards at 800-247-9215.  It looks like the rep I previously talked to actually opened an account (even though I did not agree to this).  The rep I talked when I called 800-247-9215 confirmed that the rep that called me and opened the account was legit (either worked for Wells Fargo or affiliate, but she could not tell me more). Needless to say, I asked to have the account immediately closed.

I have gotten two calls so far and both have come in after 8pm any number from another state that calls after 8 at night is not a call I will answer. If it is a business why cant they just leave a message?

they called me and told me they were verifying my information. Then she told me she was opened up a credit card for me and transferring the money to my bank account so I could pay off my other high interest credit card. I told her I was not interested and did not want it. She said WHY. How rude. I got so pissed off I hung up on her. I then called the number back to make sure a card didn't get opened. The man said it DID. How is this legal? They did not have my permission and I told her not to. He said he would cancel it. Does anyone know if there is something I can do legally? I feel so violated. BEWARE. When I called him back I gave him all my information, so if it is a scam... I am screwed.

These people call me at least 3 to 4 times a day.  I have answered before and told them I do NOT want a card from them and to take me off their call list.  They say they will and never do.  I have been getting phone calls from Wells Fargo almost daily since I signed up with an affiliate (Ashley Furniture).  My advice...don't deal with Wells Fargo.  Also, if you are currently with Wachovia and Wells Fargo wins the deal...RUN...and RUN fast and far!!!

We are on the Do Not Call list and still these guys get through!  Does anyone know how to make them stop.  I am going to call our local Wells Fargo and ask them to put a request in for me..

i think that it IS wells fargo financial (they back my mattress giant credit line) but that they have LOUSY and super SHADY customer service. the woman that called wanted me to open/upgrade an acct; i was interested, but got pissed that she wouldn't let me call her later and discuss (i was busy). i got rude and hung up.

not a total scam, but effed up nonetheless.

Wells Fargo Financial Bank is legit. They call you regarding the past finacing you have done with the company. It takes 7 to 10 business days to recieve the card in the credit card in the mail. As for leaving messages: If you did financing with a company and called you, would you want them to leave a message on a machine if they weren't sure it was yours. I sure as hell wouldn't want my personal finance information left on an answering machine, even if it was my own. Verify your information with the nice people and they will quit calling.

Just got a call from this number saying they appreciate my business with Wells Fargo.  The man calling sounded very unprofessional and I declined all offers he was trying to push.  Not sure if it is a scam or not.

10 hang-ups, never a message. Wells Fargo answered when I called.

This is definitely legit. I've spoken with Wells Fargo enough to recognize them.

You should head down to your local Wells Fargo bank and talk to someone there. They will identify if it is truly a Wells Fargo number / call and let you know what it is about as well as put a note to stop calling you.

it is a scam.  no one calls you and ask for your ssn or account number when you already have an account with them.  they will ask you to verify the last 4 digits, address, and a security question when you call them.  just got off the phone with one, told him to go to hell.

Wow! None of you have ever worked in a call center, huh? It's not a scam and it's not a sister company of Wells Fargo....it is WELLS FARGO! The reason they are calling(and what everyone keeps saying)....you have an account with them and you are preapproved for a credit card. Also, the reason for so many calls is because you are not answering the phone or you hang up on the representative!

I am beginning to believe that Wells Fargo is also calling me.  I have received 3 calls from this number and they never leave me a message.  I just received one and decided to google the number...didn't think I'd actually get any info but I did!  I ordered furniture and financed it through Wells Fargo.  I got the same annoying calls about a month ago and actually answered one day...she was trying to get me to switch all my info over to their company.  She even began talking to me about my current banking information.  This just pissed me off so at the point I began getting a bit upset and ended up just hanging up on them.  I think I am going to call Wells Fargo directly and tell them to take my number off any list to be calling to solicite me.  It is extremely unprofessional and obviously annoying.  It is even making me reconsider ever financing through them ever again!

Thanks everyone.  I got this number twice today and didn't answer.  I now have the number saved in my contacts as "Don't Answer" because of all your testimonials.  From what I have read, it sounds legit in a legal view, but leaning over the line of shady, in a moral sense.

This company is Wells Fargo and they call my home daily, sometimes more than once and hang up. Many times early in the am to wake me up. It has been going on now for over a month to the point of harrassment. I read they were a phone company. I use vonage so they must call people to try to get them to change companies. I want it to stop.

So putting on my investigation cap, I called Wells Fargo Financial (Number from their web site) and guess what?  Nothing on record.  Natta-Zip.  She has nothing about me.  Considering that I am not even a customer of theirs.  Very familiar with filtering and phishing emails, I new it was a scam.  Especially when I asked him what my birthday was and he said "All I can tell you is it is the third month of the year" So I asked "which is?" and he didn't know.  So guess what folks, it's a scam.

I CALL THE NUMBER AND SPOKE TO A MANAGER IT IS WELLS FARGO NO SCAM EVERYTHING COOL.
