just got a call from this number and the recorded message stated they needed additional information for a VA claim and gave a 1-800 number to call back.  won't be doing that!

Caller identified himself as calling from "Shields for Delegate".

Call comes from a telemarketing company.  One of the services they want to sell is the maintainance of your computer system(s).  They are quite careful about not revealing any information about their company.  Furthermore, they do not give their actual names but use aliases.  THis includes names like Eva Garbo, Jenifer Jones etc.  If you then call back, you are put on terminal hold with Musak and no one picks up the phone.

As a security professional, I strongly recommend against an unknown remote entity ever touching any part of your computer system.   Always go with a well established company that has a track record and a reputation.  A good way to find these may include, the better busniess bureau, the Postmaster General site, using your favorite search engine and entering in the name of the company you are considering with the word "sucks" after.  Use all tools available to chekc them out before you consider buying.  Then get your attorney to check out the contract terms AND the Service Level Agreement (SLA).  Failure to do so can be VERY expensive.

Same thing but on my husband's cell phone.  THankfully he didn't take the call.  He had me run a reverse search.  Darn those survey takers and telemarketers... find a tall building and jump off I say.

Same here no one speaks and when leave it for voice maul NO message.  They called 4 or 5 times yesterday an twice so far today.  Very annoying!!
